Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:    • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

**For those of you wondering, THIS is why we didn’t eat the crabs 😂🦀 www.desertislandsurvival.com/news/2022/5/20/why-di… What’d you think guys? 🥥 (BTW the thought of eating coconut still makes us gag 🤣-3 weeks later!). We didn’t include it in this video, but I wanted to share that the boat took us to a resort with a COFFEE BAR and hot showers 🙌🏻 Then we feasted on veggie burgers and fries before napping in a giant crisp white bed 😍 it was truly the best feeling ever!!!!!! This experience made us appreciate the little luxuries of life, and that has not worn off even being 3 weeks removed. It’s something we think everyone should experience. We paid for this experience so this is definitely not something they asked us to do, but we went to encourage you to sign up for a trip with @Desert Island Survival (they are also in Tonga 🤩). Here’s their site www.desertislandsurvival.com/ ❤️ Tom and his team are true gems and you will not re

Sarah's face at the end sums it up best!! I would rather do Kara's bucket list item...72 hours in an airport lounge with coffee and fresh cookies
  • @Chrissie_Chen
My toxic trait is thinking i could do this even after hearing all the challenges. You guys are crazy strong and positive for the whole challenge
  • Normally I don’t look long YouTube videos but this… I love it! You guys tell everything so calm or it’s makes me calm. So nice❤
  • The craziest thing about this whole adventure to me was the amount of plastic that wasn’t left on the island, but washed up on it… I know how much plastic is out there in the ocean, but it is surreal to see it on an uninhabited island. Great job you guys!! It was so fun to watch and very inspiring!
  • @darklilly51
I love how Dusty and Sarah are always willing to come on the tough outdoor adventures with you guys! Border waters in a canoe...np....ride a bike across Iowa in 95 degree heat...np! What awesome siblings 👏
  • @Matt_Hatt3r
You're all absolutely crazy for doing this, but I give you all so much credit for doing it! This could not have been anywhere in the universe of "easy." I hope Sara has recovered by now lol she did not look happy in that last clip.

I love how Kara stay positive and hype during the challenge . I love how their challenges are actually real compared to other YouTubers.
  • That look that Sarah gives when she fist bumps at the end of the vlog is PRICELESS!! She’s awesome and I love how “real” she is on these videos she’s in!! Awesome!!!
  • Surviving this is hard enough. Taking the time to set up the camera, film, and tell a story is a level of difficulty that few will understand. Incredible guys.
  • Y’all owe Dusty and Sara a luxurious vacay! You guys do a lot of things I want to try but this is extreme
  • Knowing the clip was made in combination of differ purposes and one of them was the commercial but still want to thank much the team for doing it. It shows and delivers a lot to the viewers about treasuring your life and what you have in hands, even just the tiniest or simplest things! Welldone for your achievements as well as the valuable experience that could last for long in your life!👍🤟
  • @amoorerdh
As a dental hygienist I LOVE the fact y’all are brushing your teeth. This was so cool! Thank you for taking us along!
  • We love getting to see what happens in the final 3 day survival phase! Genuinely impressed with your levels of endurance, You guys were legitimately hardcore. See you in Tonga! 🙌🏝
  • I love how Kara stay positive and hype during the challenge 😍😍
  • @leek6068
this was great. you guys are awesome. your positivity throughout this reminds me so much of what's important. Kara, you are just such a light-- with the curry, and the coffee and all the smiles-- such a wonderful reminder to be grateful for everything. Cant imagine how good that first meal tasted after the whole thing! oh also why didnt u eat the crabs
