From an unassuming Victorian terraced house in Leyton, East London, Britain’s Sharia Council presides over hundreds of cases every year. This parallel legal system remains unknown to many of its neighbours in Leyton, yet this court has existed for over 20 years.

Presiding over the court are ten Sheikhs; respected members of the Muslim community with an intimate knowledge of Islamic Law. Their rulings are not recognised by British law but for many in the Muslim community their judgments carry the word of God.

I'm a Muslim and don't support this. Either adapt to a country or leave.

If you can't live with a country's legal system, don't live there. It isn't that hard.

I love that mum who wanted to support her daughter. Finally, someone with sense!

When the old man said: "she has to realize that life is not easy" LMAAAAAAAAAOOOO The men only have to say a word and they are instantly divorced
  • @luciatat4084
Marries her and has three kids with her, and then tells her: “you are not even my type!” Sad way to live....

Imran is so disgusting they way he treats his poor wife she is really suffering because of him
  • Look at the women having to beg for a divorce and the man just utters some words and it’s done. Disgusting.
  • @anetobel
"I'm not an object that he can use, I also have a life" Spoken as a truly empowered woman, respect.

I cheered when Nasira physically threw her no good husband out of the house!! You are lucky to have her looking and acting the way you do. Called her a reject, the delusion smh

I just started watching this and I'm so upset about what I'm seeing! These men OMG!!!! THEY SHOULD KEEP THEIR LAW AND GO BACK HOME!!!!
  • I feel so sorry for that woman with 3 kids. She is just like the rest of us women that want a loyal husband and a stable life instead has ended up fighting a scum bag infront of his own children that he doesn't seem to care about. I hope those poor young children don't suffer because of it. Stay strong sister. I hope you have found your happiness whether in Britain or Pakistan.
  • While they are praying 5 times a day they should ask God how they can be nicer to women
  • These documentary are gold for any psychology students or groups looking to study mental slavery or colonized consciousness to observe and break down detail by detail.
  • Imran doesn’t behave like a man. A real man would never disrespect his wife and children the way he has. He is selfish.

Praying five times a day , does not change a person .
  • Imran complaints that his dad ruined his life by getting him married to his cousin in Pakistan. Seems unhappy yeah? So what does he do? Has three kids with her. Wow! Unhappy but don't forget to breed! 🙄🙄🙄 Disgusting.
  • When two people got married, the husband & wife becomes one, it means respect, for each other, love for each other, bringing family together in a loving, nurturing way of life. Husbands should treat their wives as partners in raising the family together. They should be the role models of their children.
  • Wow he told his wife she was a reject and not his type. So he just wants her for the sake of seeing his kids and to keep his house clean. That's awful. I pray she gets a divorce and financial means from him.
