I feel like chris's voice actor absolutely nailed his character
  • @wulfske8888
Honestly the dialogue is written in such a way that it sounds almost purposefully written bad. It’s funny every time. Its played straighter as a comedy than an isekai lol
  • @Slagdar
Chris's voice actor deserves a medal. he didn't just phone in that performance! he read the dialogue through a telescope on a mirror backwards.
  • @Patterrz
"you certainly got sexy" Speech: 100
  • @philtkaswahl2124
The man put his heart into nailing "Yamato Takeru no Mikoto" every time, and I can respect that.
  • @kestune352
Chris Broad has decided that exploring Japan isn't enough, he must experience the most time honored tradition of Japanese culture: being isekaied.
  • @cloudfair2
The best part of this video is the slow realization that Gigguk isn’t using an abridging of the dialogue, THIS IS THAT ACTUALLY DIALOGUE! 🤣🤣🤣

The "Anal" helmet at @4:22 is actually written as Arai, a Japanese company that specializes in helmets of motorcycles, and other helmets from other motorsports, just like Fox Racing but in Japan. These Arai helmets are quite very expensive for their sturdiness and structural integrity (literally made out of Nokia and Volvo from Fukushima) while offers comfort. Pretty sure in the anime they replaced the letter "i" with small "L" to avoid copyright lawsuits, but still 💀💀
  • @Nevri.
6:22 It's actually unironically historically correct. Back in medieval times if you had very important message to deliver, you'd ride on the horse so fast, it'd exhaust them so much, they'd die the second they stopped running and all the adrenalina stopped. Also If you couldn't reach the destination in 1 ride, there were those special stations where they kept horses for messengers, so they could switch to new, rested horse and continue riding. That's why kanji for "eki" (station) has kanji for horse in it.

Gigguk: “this is the worst anime” Also Gigguk: somehow makes this seem like a good show
  • @plplkpok
"I must somehow make sense of our convoluted situation" line has always stuck with me 😂
  • @Hyper_TheOne
The line “Humans are just human” really opened my eyes
  • @ethanchen3998
The way Chris said "Doesnt work" somehow felt funnier than any catch phrase
  • @thevagabond3181
Truly ahead of it's time......Somehow managed to use Chat GPT to generate the entire script far before it was invented.
  • @germchang
This dialogue is actually hilarious, there's no way this wasn't made as a meme
  • @mayurei
our anime club had this fascination with finding and sharing the worst animes we could find with each other - one of the top two contenders was called "Miss Critical Moment" & the first episode has her get trapped in a sauna & dislocate every bone in her body trying to get out
  • @KingKam93
Thank you Gigguk for raising awareness for this Masterpiece.
  • @mrravinraven
Honestly Alain, I think Gigguk forgetting to record an outro and you doing THAT in its place made the video feel complete LMAO The credits rolling with "where they are now" cliche was so perfect to end this specific video.

Speaking of Tomino and Isekai: Garzey's Wing was apparently a spinoff of Dunbine, an isekai mecha show... except set in the distant past and without the "mech" part. Another spinoff released a decade later, the Wings of Rean, does have mechs in it though.
