  • All TV interviews should be like this. They go on as long as they need to and touch on real topics.
  • Was working as a park ranger in Central Park in NYC, leading a tour, saw him and a friend walking on the path towards us, but it took me 3 seconds to realize who he was--their presence first caught my attention, made eye contact, but didn't stop the tour or say anything to him, as he passed by us, he reached out smiling and tapped the top of my arm, which was a silent acknowledgment that he didn't have to offer. He is a classy man, who is as he says "in it". Loves people.

Bono really emulates everything I want to be as a man. Depth, Love, Passion, Integrity. He is literally my hero.
  • I saw U2 at the University of Maryland way back in the 80s. I was there with this really hot chick that night. We were up along the side of the stage up on the concrete stairs making out the whole show. LOL next thing I know there was a bright spotlight on us. As we opened our eyes and looked up, Bono was standing right over us. He put his free hand on my head as he's singing "two hearts beat as one! Big smiles traded as he ruffled my hair around and smiled at Helen and went running off back down to the stage. Spotlights on us the whole time. What a memory. Wherever you are Helen Manning, what a great night that was! Thank you so very much! Oh, thanks to you too Bono! D 🎼🎵🎶🤘
  • An Irish man teaching me an American about my countries past present and future and soul is an inspiration to me in these dark times- a brilliant interview!

My first U2 concert June 25th, 1983 in the Atlanta Civic Center. Bono and the boys were transcendent and electric.

Bono loves America. And for that, amongst many other things, America loves him right back!
  • Not just a Rock legend, a great human being who has done many charity work to improve the lives of others.

America - the greatest song the world hasn’t heard yet! (Insert tear drop) I Love You Bono. 🇺🇸
  • Great that there is an extended interview with Bono up here. I was initially a bit disappointed. All the buzz about Bono coming just for the interview to last only 13 minutes. I love that there is a 36 minute version of it. And that this 36 minute version got uploaded for all of us.
  • Stephen and Conan have consistently been the best interviewers in late night. No interrupting, no changing topics, no stupid games - just genuinely fascinating conversation while still being funny and entertaining.
  • BONO is genius. I love his brilliant consciousness and expression.
  • Stephen is the ultimate host. I bet his dinner parties are the best.
  • i could listen to Bono all day his depth of thought and feeling he is and always has been an inspiration to me and the Irish sense of humour just gold he knows how to laugh at himself i just love him so much ❤
  • I got emotional listening to this interview. U2 has been my favorite band for a little over three decades now (I'm about to be 49), and I've seen their ( and his) cachet rise and fall many times in those years, but this clip just shows what a true, authentic, humble soul Bono is beyond all the bombast. Thank you, Stephen.
  • I needed to be reminded that America is not done, we ARE just starting out. We WILL survive if we want to, end of. What a great interview, so glad it was posted 💜
  • Bono is such a gentle soul. I was really drawn in by him. He speaks slowly and thoughtfully, which is a rare thing these days. What a gift he is.

As an Irishman (of a certain age) U2 and Tayto are the only institutions in my life that never let me down.
