They moved from Hawaii to Detroit? What are they nuts?

This is ridiculous, those contractors are not exempt from trespassing laws. The homeowner needs to press charges.
  • @Henlarious
The city can’t come onto private property without notifying the property owners prior. The property owners have a legal right to sue the city for trespassing and for all damages done without their authorization.

DETROIT, what else should you expect? This is a city that's so overrun with incompetence, EVEN the Fire Department destroyed their new truck and caused a literal train wreck when they parked the firetruck on the railroad tracks! (I am NOT making this up!)

I'm from Hawaii, and the most likely reason they moved to Detroit is because the cost of living here in Hawaii is too expensive. I've done comparisons of home costs; a decent home in Detroit costs a fraction of that compared to a 500 square feet 3 bedroom condo. I want to move to the mainland to because I'm living from paycheck to paycheck like most residents here.
  • why in the hell would u move from Hawaii to americas toilet detroit

There first mistake was moving to Detroit. Not sure exactly what happened but it was on e a beautiful city

I would have hired a contractor to lay concrete over the door to city hall after this. Reasoning: Detroit's city hall is a danger to the public.
  • Wow, with leadership like that it's no wonder that Detroit is in such bad shape.
  • Pathetic. People ate willing and able to bring Detroit back and get kicked for it. It was an emergency? Really in a year you could not contact the owners and tell them they had 30,60, or 90 days to fix the problem? Really Detroit???

this video is 2 years old as of now and hopefully its been fixed. this was an immediate action (that took a year to do) and it was still and illegal action. before doing this they should have checked their records one last time to see if anyone has bought the house or was it still vacant. since the city filled in a privately owned poll, the city now owes this couple the money to have whatever kind of pool they want put in.

I'm from Michigan! I will NEVER live in that crazy, screwed up disaster of a place a gain! I can't believe anybody in their right mind would move from Hawaii to that awful place!
  • Lived in the city limits for thirty years in the 8th and after break ins and violent encounters could hardly wait to move out, did so in 2003. One the best thing I ever did.
