THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! I am failing upwards everyday, and I hope you do too. Nakano House turned out fantastic and I am really grateful that you followed along on this journey. Let me know what you want to see next, since I will put in an extra gear when it comes to content creation again :)))) xoxo, Anton in Japan

I think the pine in the bedroom looks beautiful! It brightens up the space!

What a great renovation - thank you for showing us around.
  • Wowww!! I'm envious. I'm an architect, I love Japan and japanese culture, I'm studying japanese, I love the challenge of giving new life to old houses, in short, I love what you do. All my respect, thank you very much for sharing it and a lot of encouragement with the next houses, I will be watching what you are doing. 頑張って!!!!

My heart sunk the moment Airbnb was mentioned.

I like the pine. My only comment is you should match the upstairs door knob to the downstairs ones. It’s an added expense but makes the reno look more complete. It’s a weird detail but one that shows.

Congratulations its looking amazing. I love how it has lot of natural light and love how woody cabiny vibe there is yet has a certain modern traditional feel
  • @StevenZalmijn
Congratulations!!! It was so much fun watching the transition. Keep doing what your doing, I'll keep watching!!!
  • @Luni91
Congratulations Anton!! Well done, we can see all the efforts you put into this! All the best for the new Hotel!
  • It's very beautiful and cozy inside! You did very good! I'm so jealous. Japan must be a very peaceful place to live in!

Yes pine is often associated with cabins, or other forms of seasonal habitations, at least in the US and Canada, but it’s just a matter of perception. Great job Anton!
  • Wow, it looks amazing! From our perspective it went by quite fast 🤣 You put so much into this build and it shows! I would love to stay here on my next trip! Well done Anton, can't wait to see what you do next!
  • @grbapkr
It's like your baby. Be proud and keep doing what you do!!❤ yes of course you are having another project!! How exciting ❤ I am so glad you never gave up!! It is all so beautiful my favorite is still the staircase and the kitchen but I would chose the Japanese totami mat bedroom to sleep in for sure. Their comforters are really the most snuggliest ever❤❤❤

Great idea, same flooring inside and out! Great taste!
  • @VicMonLee
Good Job Anton! Med vänlig hälsning, Victor!

What a unique and lovely little home. Love the funky tile in the bathrooms! I like the pine walls as they are but if you are hurting for something to do you could lightly white wash them with diluted warm white paint. Don't try to stain new pine, it is a nightmare. All your hard work has paid off. It looks great.

I probably walked by when I was in Japan last March/April. Beautiful renovation!
