I have few tips I want to add to. 1-Dont sleep on lower rarity ops like 4-5 stars some of them amazing for their rarity even some 3 stars are amazing and you can use them later on IS. 2-You dont need to reroll account whole game can be cleared without meta units but If you start in a limited banner you can get a copy of limited op with a 6 star from newbie banner 3-You dont need to pull every banner save up your pulls for good/limited banners arknights very generous about giving 6 stars also you will always have more units than you can build it doesnt matter If you pulled a mylnar but cant build him 4-If there is an event goin on when you start, try to clear as much as you can then farm event stages for event resource to buy all of shop especially LMD and EXP in early game sanity to resource cost is 1-1 so you dont need to wory about wasting sanity you can farm all stages 5-Dont be afraid to ask questions in community most of the arknights community is very friendly and open to help, When I started the game I asked some ridiculous questions and no one made fun of me instead they helped me a lot.

Here let me add more Quick tips 1.) Dont blindly pull any banner . Instead, find the banner information in gamepress + find information about the operators, either in YT, discord, reddit, whatever. It will help you to not wasting pulls on "useless" operator (+ don't forget to see the future banners, standard & limited) If you find it really hard to hold the urge. Just... don't go to the banner section (for me I always go there for "pulling" in my imagination tho). You can also tell yourself "My life will be definitely much better if I have these future operators, rather than current operator" 2.) Don't ever buy skin if you don't really have the operators . I know it is really good, but no one knows when will you get them. I will prefer having my operators skinless, rather then having the skin but not the operator 3.) Maximize the orundum caps at annihilation, NOW! . 300 (i forgor how much) orundum may not sound really much. But as a player who only could maximize the caps at 4 months later, IT IS really that much 4.) For core squad, here is the simple(er) version - Any 2 blocks Vanguard - Defender (medic & normal) - Sniper (anti-air + Pinecone) - Caster (AoE) *Edit : Lava or Click (Crowd Control) no other choices - Medic (2 single, 1 AoE) This one is not a must, but HARDLY recommended - Flagbearer - Laneholder - Gravel (defensive Fast redeploy) 5.) Upgrade one of your operator to E2 ASAP . It will makes you unlock E2 operators in support unit, that will make your run undeniabally easier. My recommendation is Myrtle, since you will mostly bring her whenever you go. But it could be anyone elsw, just make sure it is a 4 stars (cheap) & surely you must brought it anywhere 6.) Save yellow-certs for buying an operators . Some ppl like to buy pulls instead. But I have a mindset "why you should buy pulls, that won't guarantee you a 6* rather than buying the 6* itself"

Thanks for the mention. Great video! Gladiia, Tequila, Ethan, Pudding, Honeyberry and the others you listed are really great both early on and long term. Also worth noting is that there are 2 more types of damage: True damage that ignores both defense and res and Elemental damage that is kind of separate from other types of damage and has a lot of different effects. Everyone gets Cliffheart and Amiya so True damage is something to consider early on (though Amiya needs E2 for it) and Elemental damage appears as soon as Chapter 9 in the main story which can be accessed after completing Chapter 3 to unlock crafting for certain materials.

good tips!!! highly recommend the base one, free stuff is always worth it...

Started playing in the end of December, last week found out that I need E2 Amiya to progress main story 😮. And after a week of farming finally promoted her. Conclusion: Don't forget to lvl up your bunny girl.

Big thing to mention is that players shouldn't max level the right side of their base, as it will permanently lock them out of the most optimal base setups. Specifically, the Office should never be leveled past lv1. The Reception room can be leveled to lv2, but only level it to lv3 if you really really want the extra friend slots. You'll eventually want a lv3 Training room, but that should be the last thing you build and level because new players won't have access to the materials and LMD for E2 operators and skill masteries for a while. The gamepress guide "arknights-252-riic-base-guide" has good info on all of this.

Here’s a few from being a player since the second update: 1. A fully built team of 3 stars at E1 lv 55 will be able to clear more than a haphazard 6 star leveled to E2 lv 1 and everyone else underlevelled 2. Skill levels make more of a difference than operator level or even elite level. 3. For many operators E1 max level will be more than enough for a very long time. E2-ing operators needs to only happen for operators that get a significant upgrade or new passive from E2. 4. Do not neglect your base. Seriously, it’s very important. It’s where you’ll make a huge percentage of your LMD 5. After E2, you almost NEVER need to level your operators higher than the level required for their module. For 6 stars, stop at E2 level 60. For 5 stars stop at E2 lv 50, for 4 stars, stop at E2 lv 40. Only invest in going to E2 max level for operators that rely on stats heavily, like some supporters such as bards like Sora or Skadi alter 6. LEARN ARCHETYPES. This is easily the most important one. Learn what units are similar to each other. For example, Beagle, Matterhorn, Liskarm, and Hoshiguma are all defenders with high defense that can be used to tank damage. They are essentially 4 different rarities of the same general type of unit, and can be substituted accordingly depending on the situation. Obviously, they all do subtlety different things, but the point still stands that they are generically similar enough to interchange. Learn all of these different archetypes for all the operators. There’s fewer “categories” of operator than you might think. 7. Vanguards, defenders, and medics are probably where a significant early game focus should go. These units let you get DP fast, and throw down a defensive wall that can survive. If you have lower powered DPS units, you can at least hold out long enough for them to do their damage. It might be slow, but you will survive with a quickly constructed, well supported, tanky front line. 8. Don’t pull on every banner without doing your research. Depending on your account, that limited 6 star may be completely useless. Don’t get FOMO. There will be reruns. Pull for characters you think could help your account, and also LOOK UP the CN schedule to plan ahead. Watch videos of people reviewing upcoming operators so you can get ahead of the meta and save wisely. 9. Potentials (duplicate copies of an operator) matter the most for characters like vanguards and ones with high DP cost. In general tho, you’ll still be fine with a potential 0 character. 10. Skins are expensive and not worth it unless you are hella down bad or just live a unit to death. Make sure it’s for one you don’t see yourself not using frequently. 11. The 30 day sign in pack, and the monthly headhunting pack are two of the best value packs from the store (excluding special ones that drop during events) 12. USE YOUR PRACTICE TICKETS! Seriously, so important and useful. You get the ability to practice a level once for free and not spend any sanity. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS. You can try a stage until you find a good strategy, exit, and then try for real to clear it. It’s a really smart tactic for maximum sanity efficiency. 13 READ TUTORIAL STAGES! They explain crucial info. One of the first ones in the game is the most useful tactic in the whole game. The last placed unit will have enemies target it preferentially. This means, in general, you ALWAYS want to deploy support units and ranged units FIRST, then deploy a tanky melee unit as last operator.

Bro, I'm a beginner and I had no idea this first system existed, thank you 😂

Tips aside (which are all great and very helpful) the writing and narration are well executed, felt very immersed going through the guide. Good video!

More information to add, your 3* operators is great for early games even 3* kroos (aa sniper), midnight (lord), and melantha (dreadnought) are stronger than any 4* operators of their respective branch at the same level, Cardigan can tank early stage boss alone due to her healing skills, and Lava (even though she is weak) can use her skill fast because of her talent make her useful against early swarming enemy if you really don't have any other operators to go against that. so don't be afraid to build them. btw, Amiya is strong early but not truly shine until you E2 her so before that just use her S1, however after you E2 her she can be considered to be a good (but not great) boss killer especially after module if you don't have any 6* caster of course, even among 5* caster she can be considered as a great caster along with Rockrock (can deal more damage than most 6* caster), the chain caster duo Leizi and Astgenne (only after the expensive module), to some extent (with lower priority than her) Leonhardt (fast, spamable AoE damage), Mint (the washing machine) and Beeswax (ranged tank caster that can heal herself). Amiya is that great that make any other lower stars casters and some 5* casters not worth to be build. (except Click). If you struggle against large wave of enemies, Ethan can be good solution for that, He can be useful even later in late stage of the game for SSS, some stage realy need his poison too (looking at you weird teapot dragon).
  • @CrayonConoisseur
DON'T PULL IN KERNEL BANNER. It doesn't give you gold certs and rate up is a lie. Wait for Kernel Locating banner instead to pick your own shoperator to purchase with gold certs.
  • Definitely set 4-star tags to 9 hours. There's no sense risking 20 greens and a gold cert just for that tiny bit of LMD you save. Also definitely use a 2/5/2 base. It costs 500k LMD less to build in the first place and then is more productive. The only reasons not to are 1) You just don't like how it looks or 2) You maxed the right side and only log in once per day.

Here I am, lvl 32, 2 weeks in the game, and only now finding out about operators in stories and archives…
