  • I've always thought I was lazy because I was working for someone. Only now that I've started working on my own business have I realized laziness is my personality trait 🤣😭 Oh it's so challenging to be a human. Wish everyone luck 🙏🏼
  • @SmilenWave23
Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret - either way you suffer, at least you have a choice

To anyone who's watching this video and reading the comments, my wish for you is that any troubles or anxieties that have been weighing you down will begin to lift. May your mind be cleared of negative thoughts, incessant overthinking, and any doubts that have been holding you back. May clarity replace your confusion, and may your life be filled with peace and calmness. Take the wisdom from this video and empower yourself to achieve all that you seek.
  • This is why my husband doesn't understand why I actually enjoy cleaning the house and the yard, why I don't like spending money unnecessarily, and why I enjoy learning everything I can. I feel productive and happy without being what you say is "slavish". He thinks woman are supposed to be like his mother and sister and most women he has known: spending money needlessly for beauty of themselves and their homes instead of understand that simply eating healthy, drinking water, etc can keep one beautiful and healthy without spending too much money and you can make things for your home or you don't have worry so much about material things to make a home "beautiful". You don't need a lot in life to be happy.

Summary 1. Expose yourself to lots of novel things, and analyze your childhood interests. 2. Solve a difficult problem in the area of your passion. 3. Turn the solution into a product or service. 4. So that product or service to others and exchange for money. 5. Use that money to continue funding your life and improving yourself. 6. Repeat starting at step 2

That is honestly the best argument for "productivity" i have ever heard. It prepares you for the bad times that can and will come. The best example is working out and maintaining your health. When you are sick or in an accident you will, statistically, get well faster if you are already physically fit.

Avoid making pleasure and comfort you're highest value. This hit home, because I love comfort and pleasure 😢

Laziness can destroy you, but so can fanatical hard work. Nietzsche himself is a prime example of bad outcomes. The man suffered from disabling chronic migraines, yet ignored doctor's orders to limit his time looking at small text and labored over his desk for untold hours until his body revolted and he was left bedridden. Once the illness would pass he would begin again. He was not professionally successful. The cycle repeated until his mind finally broke in Turin. His final insanity is believed to have been caused by syphilis, but undoubtedly was accelerated by the extreme stress under which he constantly labored. I too have at times experienced personal burnout, chronic illness, and loss of social life as a result of extreme work ethics. This, ironically, reduced my access to the opportunities I was pursuing, as I was too exhausted and overstretched to seize the day when the day finally came.  Seek a middle way. Work hard when the time comes. Allow yourself to relax and receptively absorb your necessary when it is not necessary to kill yourself with work. Yes, follow your interests and find a way to make them useful to others and gainful to yourself-but sometimes it really is ok to simply be.

Yep. I know this first hand. I lost a lot of years of potential because I learned this lesson too late. Now, I am trying to catch up to correct so many lost years.
  • this is a lot similar to what Robert greene has told in Mastery. Look back at childhood to find purpose, then work hard to learn and develop skills. Then create novel things. Then you develop and intuitive sense of what comes next. You become a master.

Damn it’s 10:09pm where I’m at and honestly needed to hear this. Thank you for sharing this harsh reality. I’ll conquer this laziness forever just gotta keep going
  • @karuneshmaan8479
I used to think alot about "Slavishness" but I was never able to term it. Thanks for this content. You just helped me clear my thoughts on this idea.

Those ants better be nice to the grasshopper or else he will bring all his friends and make them work on getting food for them. They should make a movie about this!
  • @ssncns
I spent my entire life preparing for winter when it was summer. As winter came closer, I became little depressed because I wasn’t living. All I did was preparing for winter which is future and all we do is live in the present moment. There’s no tomorrow. Everyday is today. Caught up in dilemma, I dread both ant and grasshoppers choice. So I live none. Then nihilism kicks in, just like it was waiting for me to finally give in. To live a meaningful life. That’s the only way out of nihilism. That means you have to fight comfort, embrace discomfort, being in the moment also optimistic about future. That’s the answer I’ve got for now.

"Joyful Productivity"... If only I could have such a life. Too much slavishness happening in this world already, but at least I'm thankful to still have the choice.
  • @FeralFomoTravel
This universe showed up at the right time! Or did it? I hear this message like a slap across the face! Love it!
  • The story about the fishermen is also told here in Argentina, but with a sheperd and his goats. Great video, absolutely great!
  • One of the most insightful videos that've seen lately, I don't even comment, but this is incredible.
  • @Zenjohnny
In today's world, its not that we are lazy but we put all our energy into unproductive busyness while neglecting whats truly important.
  • @zeek5043
This is the first time I have actually experienced reading my own thoughts in the comments section. Seeing so many people share the same feelings as I do, it has empowered me so much and I hope it does for you too. I will keep coming back to this video to feel exactly what I am feeling right now. God bless!
