this is by far my favorite Nirvana song. it sounds so good in every recording/performance and it never fails to give me goosebumps
  • I’ve always thought that the riff that Kurt plays in Aneurysm’s chorus (“Beat me outta me…”) has got to be one of the weirdest, confusing chord progressions in any Nirvana song. The chord changes are kind of jumpy and spastic; the timing of the changes between the individual chords almost doesn’t make any sense. It almost doesn’t seem like that riff should work within the rest of song, but somehow Dave’s drum beat underneath it and the melody that Kurt sings over the top of it make it all come together in a way that sounds great. It’s also crazy to think that this was probably one of the first original Nirvana songs that Kurt & Krist wrote together with Dave, given that the first live performance of Aneurysm was in late November of 1990, at the Off Ramp, maybe two months after Dave joined the band. Everything just “clicked”, musically, between those 3 guys.
  • So much darker than the version on incesticide. Also is there a chance you'd recreate the incesticide version of aneurysm?

Great cover, tone and nice Strat. It's always really cool to see these 99.9% identical replica guitars (the only difference being the right-handed profile) paired with D7Kurt's backing tracks. It really creates an uncanny valley-esque feeling in a good way
  • That is IDENTICAL to the track, imma play this video over and over again of how close it is
  • Love the almost buzzsaw tone of the ds-1 on this one. The k strat is awesome
