In February of 1984, Willie performed in Tokyo to kick off a five city tour that marked his first time playing in Japan. The first shows were at the Budokan, the legendary martial arts hall and the February 23rd show was recorded and filmed for broadcast, eventually seeing release only as a laser disc in Japan. However the video was never seen anywhere else and the audio was never released at all…until now. Coming on November 18, the audio has been lovingly remixed by Willie’s longtime band member Mickey Raphael and includes 29 songs across two CDs. Also included is 27 of the songs on a DVD with the new audio mix and the picture restored to high definition. Finally the release will be available as a 2XLP release for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event on November 25 exclusively at independent retail.

I can't imagine any music lover/therefore even if only 20 yrs old, wouldn't be aware of how exceptional a song writer Willie Nelson is. He's NINETY most of us could only wish to be that happy for that long.

I always get chills when this song comes on. It's the song my husband and I danced to, at our wedding. I know, it's not a traditional love song, but I think it's what true love really is...to be able to let someone go if they need to.
