Wichita Mountains - Seven Falls & Bathtub Falls

Publicado 2024-04-18
Here is a video from when I hiked to the bathtub Falls and Seven Falls area in the far Southwest corner of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Comanche County received beneficial rainfall the previous day so I hiked out this remote area to check out the flow. While I had to hike in the long way (from the north instead of from the south) it was well worth it.

Man, that whole adventure was amazing. I’m going to have to get out there and see that part of the wilderness one of these days. Great video!

We need an AZ mesonet. That's some great info. You always shine the spotlight on some cool areas of OK. 9 miles is no joke, nicely done. 💪

Great video Steven. I’ve been over that way once from the north. Didn’t go near as far as you though. Helped a fellow pack out back to the road. We were able to park on west by the last pond you see from the road. Refuge vehicle so it was allowed. Anyway, thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your videos of the refuge sir

Great video, my friend! You're looking good, and so glad to hear you are back to "hiking form". Such beautiful scenes out there. How many snakes did you see on this trip? I half expected to see a rattler or two in the video...
