Sounds like abbrivations tried stabbing the buyer of 5 in the back, got the name deleted along with causing the chain ban of 100s of names. And magically ended up getting the name back, pays to be the villian.

I believe that AJ is the actual owner of the account and such abbreviations hijacked the account, sold it, and then wanted the name back so he could sell it again not expecting that he wouldn't be able to transfer it again.

I honestly think in cases like this the name should be bound to the original account. 5 should own 5 no matter who currently owns that account.

Jagex being so piss poor with customer support & account security that they literally remove a player's name from game because they're worried their own measures they take can't secure the name. L oh fucking L.

I had a small list of available 3 character names, checked them a week after that and they were all banned/deleted from the game. Now it makes sense.

One thing to look into is the old mayhem makers post about recovering old accounts due to a flaw in the recovery system back in 2007-2009. Ive been around since 2002 and you did not see all these rare names running around until this recovery method was mass leaked. 99% of 1 letter names are not original owners more so bought or hacked with the method mentioned above. You could literally type a bunch of bull in the recovery page and have a 50/50 shot of getting it, as long as it was a inactive account.

I happen to know the player with the name F through the soup CC he mentioned in the CC like a year or two years ago that he also used to have 5 but it was stolen from him.. So honestly I believe him since it he mentioned it way before all this drama..

AJ has had the F account for at least as long as I've been playing OSRS, about the time raids 1 came out. He used to hang out in the same CC I did and would log into the account to blow everyone's minds. But this is just laughable how sketchy the whole thing is. Abbreviations isn't even trying to hide it.
