For Tails' age, it's impressive that he's able to go super in general.

Funny, I had this idea that if Tails ever went super, he'd simply grow his seven other Tails. One for each emerald.

It's such a shame they never did anything with Super Tails. They could have set up a great Teen Gohan sort of story where Tails matures and not only reaches the same level of the characters he looks up to, but surpasses them and makes something unique to himself.

My simple reason for why he's "Super" and not Hyper is because he's channeling half the Hyper power into the Flickies to grant them super forms. At least in Mania he has a proper Super Form. EDIT: Welp, Origins managed to retcon/fix this, calling him Hyper Tails now since he can access the non-Flickies super form with the Chaos Emeralds now. Neat.

Get rejected by a girl wasn't my first sad experience, geting all 7 emeralds and Tails not turn super was.

Tails has always been one of my favorite sonic characters since his very first appearance, it also helps that as a disabled guy, seeing tails overcome the stigma of being different physically is really cool to see

I liked Tails from the start because he's adorable, but that whole story of growth is really why he's remained my favorite character. Though, one thing I've been a bit disappointed about in the more recent games is that, outside of a single line in Sonic Adventure 2, I don't think they really call back to the fact that he saved a city. Unfortunately for the little guy, for having a story about growth they sure do love putting him back down to where he's always been any time he makes progress.

Being a little brother, I was pretty fond of the only character I got to play in Sonic.

Sidekicks are underappreciated, usually most by their own franchises.

Fun Fact: Super Tails was named Hyper Tails in the Archie Comics. In Sonic Origins, when Super Tails from Sonic Mania came to Sonic 3 And Knuckles, the Hyper Tails name was given to the original.
