Dear editors: blink twice if MatPat has captured you and forced you to accept ancient builder lore
  • @Xtromations15
It’s amazing how MatPat can make a theory out of pottery sherds and armor trims
  • @Sm0key_Cat_
I love how Minecraft can be both relaxing and somewhat intense depending on play style and difficulty settings (including survival vs creative modes)

I really like this theory but I think its more realistic if it wasn't the warden itself that emerged from the portal, but something that started the skulk infection on a smaller scale. in my mind the warden was created by the skulk after it had grown for a long while and became more powerful

I like to think that the different types of villagers you can find in different biomes foreshadow the idea of different ancient civilizations and their culture.

Minecraft lore is something I’ve never really thought of until game theory made their first video on it

10:30 The "potion" could easily be a water bottle for carrying water out of the well. Using this for transport would be a big thing for a desert nation development and would make sense to be put up on a pottery vase.

I am also convinced Mojang adds new, random things and then just watch Matpat's videos and say: "Mhm, that's what we were planning all along"
  • I like the possibilities that the storytelling approach of Minecraft can lead to: Imagine a scenario where a new player or old player that hasn’t played Minecraft in a while learned about how to get pottery sherds, then finds Mourner and wonders what its even depicting then stumbles upon the deep dark and learns the hard way.

3:23 Flashbacks to my first semesters in archaeology. This one is the ceramic, which showed my Professor the most. This year i was in Athens, i saw it in the Museum and was so extremly exited to see it in reallife.❀

Hey Mat, I have an idea for a theory video. So recently i've been playing ace attorney justice for all and on the 2nd case you meet this girl called pearl. She is a little girl does not know much about the world outside of her village. During part of the game she helps you learn to pry secrets open using magic. After that your about to leave the village when she wishes you luck and says she's going to stay at the village. The next day as your getting ready for the trial, she appears saying she RAN to the courthouse from her village. Her village is 2 hours by train and she RAN. Not only that she says she found her way there by map, but she is a little girl how can she figure out where the courthouse assuming the courthouse is in the middle of the city.
  • Not sure why, but this theory especially near the end of the video sent a shiver down my spine. Love the lore that Mat is building for Minecraft.

Matt Pat should read the Minecraft books, since it reveals certain lore pieces, such as the nature of the heart of ender, and β€œthe nameless kingdom”. Hopefully he’ll also watch xatrix’s Minecraft theories, too!
  • @KILLERJUSTIN571
These theories are never gonna be the same without pat. I feel like his voice Carrie’s this channel lol.

Anyone else want/need a chronological recap (maybe even a few hours long if need be) of all the Minecraft theroies? And I don't mean the videos in chronological order, but the lore. As we learn new things, we are also learning the past. So it kinda all gets mushed together. And I'd be very curious to see how certain things work together. For example, how does the Ancient Builders die and end up as zombies, skeletons, drowned, husks, AND the allay. And what about zombies specifically? They originate from both pillager experiments and from a desease that causes piglins to turn into zombiefied versions. These are a few examples that come to mind. There have been sooooooo many vidoes and learning both the far past and the recent past get mixed up. I also feel like it'd be a great recap just in general. Anyone else intrested?

One small but interesting thing I’ve noticed is that Wither skeletons and Endermen are both taller than the player, suggesting they may have been related.
  • That’s interesting… An ancient pottery shard is literally called a sherd… Such an interesting word, though my phone recognizes it, it wants to correct me. I’m kinda curious where some things get their names… Some things have basic names, some strange, some interesting, some possibly not fitting… This is definitely one of the interesting ones.
  • Cool note: Mojang has released a β€˜Biome Settlers’ skin pack for Education and Bedrock Edition. One of the desert settlers is called the desert brewer.
