In this video I tested Techron Concentrate Plus by Chevron. I use a mini borescope camera to look into the engine and see how dirty the engine is before the fuel treatment and then after the fuel treatment.
I followed the instructions on the container and Techron performed similarly to gumout. This is the third test in a series of fuel cleaner test I will be performing to see how fuel cleaners work and if they actually work.

Here is the fuel cleaner I used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00092893E/ref=as_li_tl?…

This is 9 year old video (and a great one), yet you are still checking /responding to comments. You are really an amazing dude, Chris
  • @nycnftm
wow this guy worked harder on this video than the product worked on the engine.
  • @joemontero725
Chris I got to hand it to you. I know these test you do take a lot of effort to show us real world results. Great video thanks.
  • @SuperYGOD
Thanks for taking the time to test so many products and show actual results with real friendly commentary. Also, thanks for showing that we are not wasting our time by helping others, in what ever way it might be.
  • As with your Gumout test, again your evaluation was done showing all the steps taken and even shows the inside of the motor's cylinders for viewers to see for themselves. Nice job & thank you for taking your time to produce & post such informative videos. They're especially helpful to someone such as myself that has always been interested as to IF these products really clean or make a difference in the engine yet not having the equipment or know how to find out for myself continued to wonder until seeing your videos. Great work & can't wait to view more of your informative videos so that I can see the proof with my own eyes!!

Finally, a great video from an intelligent young man who doesn't just want to make an unnecessarily long video about nothing. Great job, Chris! I look forward to seeing the rest of your videos!

Awesome test! Thanks for such a well done and informative investigation!!!
  • It works. I used 1 bottle on my 95 VW Beetle. It was vibrating alot in idle and 2nd, 3rd gear would be noisy. After a full tank used up, it turned into a Audi R8 and runs now better than ever! Go Techron!
  • @alp3781
I have been using this on my motorcycle for years. Before it goes into storage for the winter. I fill the tank after and she is perfect till next spring. Never any issues starting her.
  • @vinnylc
i used 2 bottles of Techron in my 2009 Toyota Prius because it had sludged/carborized rings and was burning oil at a furious rate 1qt 1k miles. after a couple treatments of Techron it stopped burning oil, MPG went up, and ran so much smoother. techron saved my motor from the junkyard and not just mine many prius owners have saved their engines thanks to this and MMO.
  • saw a techron ad on FB and thought I would see if you had anything to say about it. thank you for the work you do.
  • From my experience as a retired master tech, that wouldn't consist of any significant amount of carbon buildup. Those products are for really gummed up pistons and valves with caked on carbon which typically came from carbureted vehicles and their lack of thorough atomization. You really don't see the amount of carbon build up that we saw in the past unless you have leaky valve seals and plugged up injectors. But even with today's fuel additives in the gasoline, this counters a lot of this.
