freedom doesn't always mean living in the wild. it may be where she came from, but your house is where she's made her home. being with this couple is her kind of freedom, which I'm glad they respected in the end

It always amazes me that after people raise wild animals then return them to the wild. The animal is like "Are you ffinn kidding me. f the wild! Take me back home!"
  • His reaction to her flying on top of his head was the most joy I've ever seen in another person's face. Such little things can bring us the most enjoyment in life, this sweet little bird is one of them ❤❤❤

I just read that a pet sparrow can live 12 to 14 years and I was expecting a much shorter life span. I'm so happy these three will have the joy of being together for a long time.

I love that Julie and John rescued this newborn sparrow. And, in return, Iris gave THEM a life they never would have had!
  • @TheDeldiz
I'm glad they respected her wishes to stay with them. Not every kid needs to leave the nest.
  • I love that decided to keep her, once a bird imprints on you as a baby they love you forever. Also since she spent her whole life with them, she probably wouldn’t fare well in the wild. In their house, she can live her best life without having to worry about weather, predators, or finding food

I just dont want these kind of videos to end!! These "PARENTS" are so special and you can tell IRIS loves them!! GREAT job parents!!

This couple is adorable beyond words. Iris is so lucky to have them, vice versa. From a pink blob to a beautiful spunky little bird. Go Iris! 🐦
  • Iris: " Mommy, daddy. Its rough being wild. I'm not going back. You can't make me."
  • @CelticAngel555
She's beautiful! When she was away she probably said to the others, " You know I have human pets, I better get back there, they'll be missing me so much . " She was right too! " I'll be sure to bring them outside so you can see them."
  • I think it's GREAT they kept this bird: everyone makes a big deal out of forcing animals back into nature, and thats absolutely fine, but if the animal truly wants to stay, let her make the choice to stay Love is the only important thing.

My gut tells me these folks raised a family in a happy home. They just seem like genuinely good people! Iris is fortunate to have fallen into such a loving home — and I can see why she’d stick around in it!

I’ve never had a pet bird, but through interaction with pigeons and crows, I’ve noticed they’re very much like dogs in character. I know it sounds daft... But they’re attentive and quick learners. They Love to be talked to in soothing tones and they’re playful - I love them. Costs a fortune in peanuts though. Daren’t enter the forest without at least three bags because crows never, ever forget a face.
  • I don’t think Iris could have found a better home anywhere. ❤

How can you expect her to be free and survive? From the moment she was born, looked only hours old she's known nothing but her human parents to provide her all her needs. Not wild skills or instincts whatsoever. I am glad trying to free her failed, she would not have made it out there for long. What a loving, delightful couple.

This is such a wholesome, feel-good story of a little helpless life being saved. And in the end, the little adorable Iris brought so much joy to this family. Beautiful, God bless them all. ❤
  • @Horsewoman725
Such good hearted people- you can just tell. They are wonderful folks! Lucky Iris and lucky couple!❤️
  • The clip at 2:09 when she tilts her head, chatters her beak, and blinks (with those cute little white eyelash things under her eyes), is darling. I like all the different noises she makes, she’s definitely communicating with them. Smart and precious charmer! 🐦
