Here I am, after some time, with a new video. And this time a video filmed not in Italy, but in Switzerland, during the recent Easter holidays.
It was a meaningful trip, symbilic for me, as it was the first trip abroad since the pandemic broke out.
Traveling has always been a part of me and I have missed it very much during this long, terrible time.
Now that things are noticeably improving, I hope to be able to travel a little more often and to experience that unique feeling of freedom, joy and discovery that it gives me every time.
For this trip, together with my husband, we went to Geneva, a city known and renowned for its beauty and livability. In fact, it turns out to be one of the cities where you live best in the world.
Geneva, capital of the canton of the same name and nicknamed "City of Peace", rises along the southern shores of the spectacular Lake Geneva, or Lake Gnevra, right at the point where the Rhone river flows into it.
Lake Geneva, the largest alpine lake in Europe, is truly enchanting and I can tell you that I literally fell in love with it. Its crystal clear waters are beautiful, even in the city and the surrounding alpine landscape is breathtaking.
Geneva, in fact, is like a splendid gem set between the Jura massif and the Mont Blanc massif of which absolutely spectacular views are appreciated, made even more suggestive thanks to the presence of the lake.
Cosmopolitan and fascinating city, there are very important international institutions such as the European UN headquarters and the International Red Cross. Nerve center of the financial and diplomatic sector, Geneva is also the cradle of a historical and cultural heritage of great importance that can be appreciated above all by visiting its oldest part, the Vieille Ville.
The city appears divided in two by the lake: on the right bank are the large hotels, many trendy restaurants and the lively Paquis district. The left bank, on the other hand, hosts the fascinating historic center, the real beating heart of the city.
It was a beautiful journey, relaxing and full of good times to remember. I preferred to divide it into two parts, just to allow you to fully enjoy the beauty and relaxed atmosphere that reigns in this city and to make you better appreciate all its many attractions.
In this first part, after a unique view of the city and the shores of the lake and its best known symbol, the Jet d'Eau, which we will see in detail in the next upload, you will discover the ancient and relaxed charm of the Old Town, with its splendid Cathedral, the ancient Bourg de Four Square with its particular shape and the typical houses that surround it, the historic Maison Tavel, the oldest private house in Geneva of which it has remained testimony, the beautiful Place de Neuve, important nerve center of the city which opens onto the beautiful Parc des Bastions, which houses the Reformers Wall, another famous landmark of Geneva.
But above all, I hope to convey that particular, friendly and relaxed air you breathe in Geneva. A city where you can live at a calm pace, enjoying a splendid Alpine panorama and beautiful and regenerating walks by the lake, in a truly unique atmosphere.

Geneva is one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. It is already on my travel list. So beautiful views from there, great tour with you. The background music is also awesome.
