Plot twist: he’s admiring his own work

As a contractor for 20 years, how on earth did you let them get this far?!! This didn’t happen over night! They should have been let go week one, not week 8!!!
-
That house wasn't remodeled it was VANDALIZED.
-
The only thing more expensive than a professional... An amateur
-
As a construction guy this makes me sick. Everyone who worked on this house (inside) would be fired no questions asked
-
and i lose jobs to these thieves because they are 20% cheaper!
-
nothing beats a good, reputable contrator that charges accordingly.
-
That’s why you should always do progress payments contracts.
-
I am addicted to watching these contractor nightmare videos. They should make a reality show about this. The cost is staggering to these jobs

A friend of mine who was a roofing contractor in California always used to say to prospective clients, "The low bid is not necessarily your friend."
-
Holy shit, 3 years ago I attempted my own reno for the first time and it worked out pretty good. Not professional by any means and it took a loooong time, but it looks nice, is finished and everything is straight, I am proud of it anyway. This here work you are showcasing is done by someone who was in light speed mode to get shit done with 0-f$cks given and it's a heart break, wow.

Homeowner chose lowest bid contractor and the contractor chose the lowest bid workers. Two dimensions of shoddy work.
-
Okay but if this guys called drywall “trim or trim job” one more time I’m going to lose my mind….
-
Wow.. Im a foreman that runs these kinds of renovations.. And all i can say is " I FEEL SO SORRY FOR THESE PEOPLE." I hope their contractor was legit , licensed and insured because all that tile needs to be pulled and redone, and so many major errors the job needs to be scrapped and basicly started over.... Poor people...

Lowest bid?

I had one of these nightmare contractors work on my home. It was supposed to be just a small job to fix a leak but the guy hosed it up so bad the leak was way worse after he was done. The leak was coming from a cantilevered deck and water was seeping into the wall. He didn't add dripmold or a door pan where the leak was upstairs as I asked him to. He said it was fine and guaranteed the leak was repaired. "lots of experience with leaks" he said. I had to have everything he did redone plus a lot more. I paid him about 1800.00 and it cost me another 12,000.00 to do the job correctly to fix the leak issue and fix his work. I'm glad it was only 1800.00 and not a lot more that I paid him. I ended up contacting 18 general contractors and finally found somebody really good who knew what they were doing or had the capability to do this job because it invoved siding, decking, sealing, framing, rot repair and sheet rock repair. The final result was perfect. Several contractors told me straight out they wouldn't tackle this kind of job and I appreciated their honesty. I wasn't trying to go cheap, I just didn't know the fix was so involved and so much had to be re-engineered and corrected. I learned a lot about the woes of cantilevered decks. Don't do them.

It's contractors like this that make it hard for guys like me, (small business contractor) to get top dollar. I've been a contractor for over 30 years. Skilled in multiple trades. Hard to get work cuz I don't have a fancy truck and logos. But I would never sleep if I had even one of these problems on my job

The way he is parroting his spouse, it must have been his idea to hire the cheapest bidder. You can hear the "I told you so!" in her voice.
-
I still come back to this video to make myself feel better after I lose bids over price lol
-
Kind of feels good knowing people who pick the lowest bids receive work like this
