Thanks for making the video and doing this in a fairly scientific way. Thanks also for finding the music I will listen to in my lab this week.
  • I just got this machine and it's pretty decent. I also have an atom stack A5. I love that work horse. 40 watt is nice to have.
  • @HelgeKeck
i came for the laser but i stayed for the music

Thank you so much for make this video. I have NEJE 5w but not good to cut Acrylic I want to buy NEJE 40W to cut Acrylic 3mm I think NEJE 40W is ok for me.
  • Does anybody know how to adjust for kerf when the laser focus is a rectangle like with the 4063 or 4064? I would appreciate since this is a big killer of any precise cutting project for me now

Try setting your focus to the bottom of the acrylic. Smooth clean cuts at a much lower power and no melting.
  • Thank you very much for making this video. it's very illustrative and it really makes you want to work ... please I have a question. What is the program you use to generate the cut in various speed and power calibrations in a single file ?. thank you very much again. greetings from Ecuador
  • Using 3 mm black acrylic I got nice cuts with my 40 watt NEJE. I left the protective "cover" on. Got a decent cut at 50% 200 mm min 2 passes. Also did a cut out of my shorten name "Mike" in New Times Roman at 125 mm min at 40% 3 passes. Your video is much appreciate. Recommend you get a honeycomb bed for cutting. It should improve you cutting of designs with details in them.

Hey Maker Z, amazing video! do you know if its possible to cut glass?
  • @mnamnam6061
I can tell ya what this poor Ant thinks: OH MY GOD I'M BLIND!!! And maybe you want to use some mesh under your workpiece. You won't find any cutting laser out in the Industry without. ;)

Do you think this machine is worth getting if I need to cut acrylic and quarter inch woods?
  • @Pavelmjoy
Think need to try with air pumping . Much faster should be .
  • @Bobster986
If you can hookup a air assist to it you might find that it requires less power extending your lasers life performance.

Thanks a Million dude! I guess the only question now is will running 100% kill the diodes? The cooling on this new module is much better than the old modules in my opinion. But I wonder if it's enough
