The parent need to realize that just because she looks young, doesn’t mean they can pretend she’s a child forever.

She seems to be super unhappy about her condition so she tries to prove she’s normal… the parents probably shouldn’t have sheltered her so much.

My heart breaks for this poor woman tbh. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to accept yourself when everyone is looking down to you as a child and patronizing you

4:15, the way she plays with her friend knowing her disabilities, and doesn't push it too far. Thats beautiful; it allows Shauna to feel like she's not missing out on absolutely anything friends do

She needs a career/job. If you can’t financially make it on your own, it’s really hard to convince your parents that your able to handle yourself

i feel so bad for her, she’s a grown woman and they need to accept this her parents are too overprotective edit: i get she physically looks young and it’s understandable but her parents constantly asking where she is who with etc is a bit far

I'm glad she stood up for herself with her mom. I had a helicopter mom also. And one of the hardest things is speaking up for yourself and setting boundaries that are recognized and respected.. I believe as she gets more independent it'll get a little easier. Usually, when ppl depart from their parents household it gets better as time goes on.

I knew a girl like this in college, it was so weird, she has the child voice and everything. Poor girl would always get turned down for dates and asked us why as we said " because most guys aren't pedophiles" any normal guy would not be able to have "relationships" with someone who looked and sounded like a 6 year old.

She’s so vulnerable I can’t even imagine, being the same age as me but trapped in a child like body. My heart goes out to her

This is honestly pretty accurate on disability life in general. It’s very common for the parents to be over protective to the point of stunting the disabled person mentally and emotionally.

Shauna really need some friends that are also little people. She needs to be able to hang out with someone who makes her feel normal and looks at least similar to herself sometimes.

You don't need to have vape to look older. All you need is to show people that you are mature enough to understand you have that condition and people are just concerned

just seeing the first couple of minutes of the video i feel so bad for her cause of how much she’s treated like a child… and i’m so glad that she still had friends that support her

I can’t begin to fathom the level of frustration she deals with constantly. I would be having meltdowns left and right if I was her.

I would love to see Shauna start a YouTube channel as a means of financially supporting herself and sharing how she navigates in this world. She could document building a custom tiny house, learning self defense, safety precautions when she travels, shopping for and having a vehicle converted to meet her needs. Documenting her life, going away for college and dorm life would help her see what living away from her parents would feel like. She's a beautiful young lady, she could do hair and make up tutorials, clothing hauls and try ons, cooking segments, travel destinations...like really show others who may have physical limitations how to have full lives. She could help so many...I can think of 10 brand deals that could support her channel!
