Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:    • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

I used to get coffee every morning for my wife, she’s been gone 3 years now, I miss doing it, I miss her. Seeing you do it for Kara is bitter sweet. I’d give anything to be able to do it again.
  • I love how as soon as Kara says "we've been on worse trains".... The speaker said otherwise 😂

My favorite part of all of your adventures is how Nate always wakes up early and brings Kara coffee. Its so sweet to me. I love how adorable you guys are.
  • Hi! I’m one of the gals that had supper with y’all! So glad I got to meet ya’s, you gained a new follower! Y’all are all round wonderful and humble people, love your videos 🫶🏻

The simple, sweet realism of your videos makes me happy. I feel like I'm traveling with close friends. Soothing, really.

I've been saying "if it's gonna be cold, it may as well snow" for most of my life! There's just something special about it and it makes the lack of vegetation less grey and dreary! Happy to be validated by Kara thinking the same :)

there is something so relaxing about the way nate says “goood morning”, just it being the same every morning, it’s so calming
  • I just took the Empire Builder from Portland to Havre, Montana to get some tacos. After tacos I got back on the west bound train and came home. I should have the video up next week.

I have been a huge fan for many years now, and I was always impressed by your storytelling. Today, something else hit me. The work and effort you put into your editing, and for lack of a better word, cinematography is outstanding. I really do enjoy each episode. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos to make them look effortless. Hope you had another great adventure. ❤

Y'all chose the BEST Chicago pizza place....Lou's is life changing!!! I think Kara's idea of going back to Chicago and do a restaurant tour is brilliant. So much amazing food in Chicago and some cool history.
  • Leavenworth is absolutely worth a visit! It might be a smidge touristy, but going in the winter when they have their holiday festivities, it has a special magic to it! The views of the Cascades covered in snow make it even more enchanting. - Gary

I love that out of all the glamours things you guys have done you haven't become snobby and can still appreciate places and things like this

No one else brings the class to first class traveling better than Kara and Nate! Love seeing this incredible duo happy and back in their element! Love you all and have fun!! ❤️

Nate giving the room tour was a game changer!! Definitely should be done more often and left me in tears🤣

North Dakotan here! As a resident of Minot it was hilarious listening to you guys try to pronounce Minot. Its been an ugly winter of snows and melts but come summer, our state is actually quite beautiful. If you ever need another place to journey I recommend the Turtle Mountains up by Canada and the what we call the badlands near Teddy Roosevelt National Park. Love your channel so much you two are awesome. Glad North Dakota peaked some interest to someone finally lol 😂. Much love ❤

My son was so excited to run into Kara and Nate on their stop in Chicago...he texted his dad right away. 😍 Now his dad is so excited that he's in the video (you guys are his favorite travel channel). Definitely come back soon and try the stuffed pizza at Giordano's!
  • The giggles during the train tour had me laughing so much! Also Kara knocking the batteries that were charging into the sink is the most relatable moment!
  • Since you're doing this epic trip though America and Canada may I also suggest you do the same kind of trip on the UKs two sleeper trains.. The Caledonian Sleeper from London to Scotland and the Night Riviera service from London to Penzance(Cornwall) . I would love to see what you think of them Kara and Nate.
  • I love that even though they are on a train, Nate was still so nice and found coffee for Kara in the morning ❤
  • @yomigenshoku
"There's something really relaxing to me about being stuck somewhere" - what Nate said this hits home so much for me!! i've become so accustomed to constant work pressure that trains with unstable internet and airports without tables or sockets feel like a haven
