Back in the early 80s me and my team repainted all of the A10 warthog's that were at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson Arizona...we got so good at it that we could have a aircraft totally sanded down and primed in one day...on day two we would start before dawn and paint all three colors and let it set for about two hours and then go back and put all the stencils back on her...she would be ready to fly again by that evening...we were really good at what we did...🛩️🛩️

As a former infantryman with a light recon Plt I am forever grateful for the a-10, their pilots, and supporting crews. I and many of my friends owe our lives to these bad ass planes. Thank you for the best close air support ever!

Still, to this day and beyond, the A-10 is my absolute favorite aircraft of all-time! Such a gorgeously "ugly" beast with amazing firepower, survivability, and toughness!! Truly the greatest ground attack aircraft, and ground troop support platform that has ever been conceived, built and flown! There is no other aircraft like the A-10 Warthog, and there never will be!

Again. Cool paint job but no explanation of just what makes an A-10 with a nifty paint job superior to the other A-10's in the fleet apart from the paint job.

For sure one of the best ground attack planes in the world.. I've seen hundreds of troops interview that said that the A10 was their best friend in the battlefield and saved hundreds of thousands of lives.. Love this planes.. I hope it sticks around.. Definitely a A+

The A-10 is such a bad ass plane! Glad to see they are giving her upgrades! She has a very distinctive whine in the air- she lets you know she is in the air! Keep her in the air as long as possible- she has saved a lot of lives!

As a resident of Ft Wayne, it's badass seeing these things overhead. A buddy of mine flew them (in Bush War 1 and Bush War 2) and comes up to visit with the 122nd every now and again.

I was working ATC at Cairns Army Airfield, in Alabama, when the first A10s and AH64s were being demo'd and must say they are both amazing aircraft, w/ firepower for days. When the A10 fires its mini gun, you can actually see it slow down until it stops firing and for as big as they are, they perform w/ acrobatic finesse. Would give a gonad to pilot one for a stint.

There are two planes whose avionics I have worked on while working for Bendix Flight Systems that inspired me. This is my number #2, the #1 goes to the SR-71 Blackbird. Both are the most super bad-ass in their respective categories that I could think of. God bless the pilots who fly/flew them, they are both the luckiest people on earth, and the most admired in my book.

man, back during a Reforger in 87 or 88, my M1 tank got 'buzzed' by an A10.. talk about a helpless feeling as you see it lining up it's run.. and within an instant, our Miles lights were flashing. Really distinct sounding and looking aircraft.
