Thousands of tons of steel still sit in the Patapsco River, where the key bridge once stood. The methodical work to remove the wreckage, piece by piece, continues. All that steel has to go somewhere.

On Monday morning, members of the Unified Command, the group of state and federal agencies working together on the response, escorted members of the media to the processing site in Sparrows Point where the debris is taken for recycling.

Good to see you Elizabeth Worthington I remember you well from WNEP up here in northeast Pennsylvania
  • Interesting to see Sparrow Point being used as the initial staging area to recycle bridge wreckage.

It now looks like the ship had intermittent power failures while in port, but they went for it anyway.

Too many words . Facts are needed here , not words .

"The main channel by the end of May." I'll believe that when I see it.

If you want to expedite the removal of the wreckage of the Key bridge, hire Van Den Herik and Smit Salvage companies of Holland. They are the world leaders in marine salvage projects.

Why did the ship come closer to the bridge and lose power to turn towards the beam post. Does it have to go sideways once the ship loses power and 🤔🤫🫣👈👉

Propane? I doubt that! Acetylene cutting torches!

Should be just "another day in the office", for good welders and crane operators. If it's too much "pressure" on them, they are not cut out for the job. Pretty easy work IMHO..

Unfortunately, they do not have access to the Sleibnir, the largest crane ship in the world. He could have removed the largest parts of the bridge in just one lift. (total lift capacity of 20.000 tons!!)
  • OMG! Property torches. There's the reason it collapsed. The darn thing was only soldered together.
  • 😎🤔🤔Maybe, by June: assuming another port is plucking the original load clean ~ ((least loss of cargo/damages)). = Some of the Cargo, may expire before even plucked./!\
