30 years on and I still miss him, someone that I never met.
-
The best guitar solo ever that Cobain played.
-
This is actually my favorite Nirvana song. I love it. For some reason, it reasonates with me more than other songs
-
This song makes me sad when I'm happy and it makes me happy when I'm sad.
-
1:38 that guitar solo is off the charts!
-
So many Nirvana songs were good, a lot of people didn't catch up until years later. Nirvana created an entire mood you easily fell into and then he would show you his original thoughts. Cobain was the best songwriter from his era and out for ten years in each direction.

This is one of Kurt’s best solos. Doesn’t follow the melody and isn’t just a bunch of noise & feedback. U can tell he put a lot of time into it.
-
1:37 I've never heard a riff before that sounds so defeated ever and I love it
-
No one: Nirvana fans when they see a song that isn’t smells like teen spirit, heart shaped box or come as you are made by nirvana: UNDERRATED SONG
-
Happy 57th Kurt, still miss you
-
Krist deserves so much more recognition for his bassline on this song, its absolutely phenomenal
-
I love this song more than you could possibly imagine.
-
Sappy Birthday, Kurt. We miss you... February 20, 2020

26 years ago you died..... Hope you're happy... R. I. P. Kurt Cobain.... You will for ever live in our hearts..... You won't be forgotten......
-
No one can write like this but Kurt. Such a gift to music. Miss you, man.

A top 5 Nirvana song imo. It has everything that defined their sound. I’m glad this song has been widely available since the box set release. I loved it ever since I heard it on the radio around ‘97, and had a hard time finding out the song title. When I did, I was bummed to find out it was only on that No Alternative comp which was probably out of print by then since I could never find copy anywhere in NYC.

Lyrics ✨ And if you save yourself You will make him happy He'll keep you in a jar And you'll think you're happy He'll give you breathing holes And you'll think you're happy He'll cover you with grass And you'll think you're happy now You're in a laundry room You're in a laundry room The clues that came to you, oh And if you cut yourself You will think you're happy He'll keep you in a jar Then you'll make him happy He'll give you breathing holes Then you'll think you're happy He'll cover you with grass Then you'll think you're happy now You're in a laundry room You're in a laundry room The clues that came to you, oh You're in a laundry room You're in a laundry room The clues that came to you, oh And if you fool yourself You will make him happy He'll keep you in a jar Then you'll think you're happy He'll give you breathing holes Then you will seem happy You'll wallow in the shit Then you'll think you're happy now You're in a laundry room You're in a laundry room You're in a laundry room The clues that came to you, oh

It’s quite underrated how much you can really dance to Nirvana’s music The amount of times I was rocking out to their music in my bedroom Gutted I never saw them live 💔

When I was younger (I’m 46 now), I loved this damn song, but I couldn’t find it on any Nirvana album. I own all albums. Finally able to listen to this song.

I remember downloading this song like 15 years ago from an obscure website. It completely blew my mind. I love the sad melody combined with the raw demo mix.
