Dear music media, please pay attention to how much great content that comes out because Rick lets the artists talk, doesn’t talk over them and stays away from long winded questions. There is a reason why these artists are gravitating to Rick and his channel.
-
The fact that Josh answered the first question with, "It continues to be bittersweet" is all that anyone needs to know about him as a Human Being. A Great Soul ❤🙏
-
Let's briefly talk about how Rick edited in the audio of "Every Little Thing..." on top of Josh's playing. Josh NAILED the tempo of that well enough from memory that the actual song could be superimposed on top seamlessly. Floored.
-
Another great example showing how the guys who get all the work and last in this business are the ones who are humble, personable, adaptable, and professional.
-
Rick, I don't know that you've ever interviewed a more likeable musician. You can't help but cheer for this guy. He deserves the FF gig. He's humble and great. Hard to be both.
-
This has to be the best music channel on the internet. Right? I'm mean, so good.
-
This interview really just confirms what everybody else already knew. Josh was the perfect choice for the Foo Fighters in every way. He's an amazing musician, total pro, and a real down to earth guy, something the Foo Fighters really needed.
-
It's clear within the first 10 mins of this interview that Josh is a Foo Fighter. It just makes total sense. He's so respectful and in awe of what it all really means. What a solid dude.
-
Been a fan of Josh since the early days of A Perfect Circle. Love that he’s with the Foo Fighters now despite the circumstances that led to his position. RIP Taylor Hawkins.
-
Rick does the best interviews of musicians ever. He listens, lets them talk, it's not about his personality, doesn't try to finish sentences for guests or overtalk them ever. Plus his questions are just always spot on. Perfect blend of emotional and technical insight. Just masterfully crafted.
-
That EFFING cut at 1:11:02 - genius... Also shows Josh' incredible pocket. Right in time with original track!
-
Josh looks like a great guy, centred, real. He looks like a pro. Foo Fighters need a rock, a solid heavy-hitter. Josh Freese. Yeah. He's the man.
-
Josh’s grandfather, Hal Freese was the band/orchestra director at my high school for many years. Great man! Good memories!
-
One of the smartest, laid-back, coolest, honest drummers ever!
-
There a two great things in this video: a drummer who has something to say and an interviewer letting him say it, uninterrupted. That's the kind of interview I am interested in. Thank you Rick!
-
Rick pumping out solid content lately I love it
-
Josh Freese is one of the most electrifying drummers I've ever heard. He was spectacular in NIN.
-
Josh "Know what I mean" Freese. One of my favorite drummers ever. Definitely got me into drumming.
-
I can't believe I just sat down and watch an hour and a half of Josh talking, and it felt like 5 minutes, never knew who he was even though I have been listening to all those bands he's drummed in for years, my jaw hit the floor when he started rattling them off. Loved this interview
