EFAP #286 – The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny!

Thanks everyone for joining us for this rather longo episode o/ turns out we can still go for over 12 hours on non anniversary bois ;) HUGE thanks to the cast of legendary peeps who hung out for the stream, you guys are awesome! <3 I hope you had fun and respect the winner of the tournament being The Boogster... or the Unicron guy I SUPPOSE. Though, I did want to explain how some of the weirder things happened; 1. To assist the nature of the tournament bracket being as slick and fast as possible, the list of characters were split into groups of 64 from 192 with a brief but assumed power set to scale against each other. When doing this casually from the backend, some decisions get made early that in the end, don't make as much sense once the brackets are almost complete but it became complicated to correct them. Some would have 1 or 2 elements that make them extremely powerful in certain circumstances but also easily defeatable by the right counters which screws with their weight class. 2. Some characters are here cause I figured it would be fun to throw them in but that I was not aware of the ins and outs of lore for all of them, nor did I expect the full panel to know them all either but that's why its a big panel. To hopefully get as much info as we could. But obviously there's gonna be gaps, ultimately it was for fun. 3. The strategy was to go from what people tend to know alongside some quick searches of power levels and nerdy discussions about who sounds like the winner but the primary idea here was to simply clash powers and completely different media against each other and see what conversations erupt from it =). 4. Mistakes were obviously made as to the way some characters power levels would interact, hence relying on votes here and there for DEMOCRACY! but since we had something like 400 fights to conduct across all of fiction - I reckon we did it okay, the way that we did it ;). Hopefully you enjoyed many of the conversations and hey, you can conduct this thing yourselves! with friendos and iron out some of the stretches and holes we encountered! 5. Character motivations were essentially dealt with by arguing that all participants believe this is an incredibly important foe that defeating meant the most important thing, we did try to involve character /values motives here and there but as you could see, we barely had the time to simply compare power levels/skills. I will say, this was a super fun and interesting experience for me and that if I was to run it a second time, there would be a full reformatting and a bit of a need to create a laundry list of more rules but who knows what it may look like! All I know is that Unicron would have been easily defeated by the equestrian legend has he simply survived round 1 ;__;

I absolutely adore this episode. The premise is fun, the argumention was compelling and the surprised reactions to bullshit powers on wikis were utterly hilarious. Theo in particular was firing on all cylinders, which was great to see. Also, Mr.Frog can take down the Headless Horseman low diff don't @ me.

Cant believe you guys forgot that Mr Bean keeps a handgun & ammo in his nightstand to turn off the light from bed.

The Headless Horseman could have sweeped the competition if they'd taken his skills as a equestrian, and his warm axe into consideration.

8:17:10 The fact that The Headless Horseman is region locked is funny.

I like how the most interesting discussions were in the Light and Middleweight catagories and the second Heavyweight started it just devolved into "Well can this attack actually hurt him, but that attack is able to shred 10,000 multiversus and makes you go insane just thinking about it for a nanosecond, ok but this character is outside of time and space and can create black holes using his asshole, but will that prevent him from getting mind controlled or can he break free using piss baby gamer mode, but piss baby gamer mode only works if he's able to drink coffee at 12PM, but in the other character's world drinking coffee at 12PM kills you"

Wonder where Angry Pissed off Gamer would stand in this showdown

Robocops face isn't a weakpoint, they surgically removed it and grafted it over the top of his armored skull so that their robot cop would appear more human to other cops.

I don't blame the panel for not knowing but a full power King Arthur is invincible. Excalibur has a magic scabbard. It makes it so that in battle Arthur won't get hurt or lose a single drop of blood.
