    I'm not sure why, but that 1% better every day thing made me think about the phrase "Two steps forward, one step back." That's still one step forward. It's not a lot, but it's something to be proud of.

    I love the idea of focusing on the process rather than the result. So my goal is to eat healthy but that's pretty nebulous, but I know that if I plan and prep my meals I will eat healthy, so the habit I'm implementing is meal planning and meal prepping on a rolling basis (works out to be every 3 to 4 days). So far so good! I've stayed on plan for like 4 weeks now I think? I'm down a clothing size (don't know the lbs bc it's better if you don't look at the scale), and the best part of all is that I not only feel good with lots of energy, but I also feel good about myself because I'm being the person I envision myself to be - someone who eats healthy! It took a few months to get the habit to stick. I tried different things along the way like doing all my meal prepping for the week on one day, but found that to be too much work, so breaking it up into smaller chunks throughout the week is the way to go for me. I can tell this is a new normal for me and I'm never going back to binge eating garbage on a daily basis, the GI issues and mood issues it causes are not worth it!

    I’ve always struggled with how do I know if I’m getting better every day. But duh, as long as I set up the habits that support my intentional growth and vision that i set up for myself, and follow through with those habits, then I will automatically be on the trajectory.
