Its most likely a placebo effect in which the person wearing them believes that they are actually jumping higher so they do. Or maybe it was too easy to sneak in actual enhancers inside the shoe so it had to be banned

You need to break them in. The mid soles are likely too stiff for you to find a difference. I wore APLs for two years and noticed a difference. Try combining them with VKTRY insoles for a crazy experience
