For me, perfect parallel parking happens when there are no other cars within a one-mile radius of me. I park along the curb in no time flat....perfectly.

I like that in your tutorial you parked between two cars which are close together, not 1.5 the size of your car apart, like other tutorials I've seen. This is closer to a real life situation.

i’d rather walk a mile than stress about parallel parking in LA traffic
  • @charissecoal
Me: looking for a parking space * parking space between 2 cars * Me: drives round and round the block waiting for one of the parked cars to come out

I had made 3 attempts at parallel parking during my driving test (in Italy)...the examiner just said "don't worry, you'll become more confident at doing it with time" and passed me!!!🤣 I swear I didn't bribe her!!

This made me an expert at parallel parking. As long as my car fits, it gets in the spot in the first try. Been driving for about six years and have always been hit or miss when it came to parallel parking and now I never miss. It’s legitimately amazing how good these tips were. Especially waiting for the car behind you to go across your rear view mirror. That was the big thing I was missing.

No! Not close enough to the kerb. Do it again! Also do it within a inner city with lots of drivers behind you giving you lots of hassle when you having a bit if an off day yourself.

once i went to Scotland for tourism and was amazed how people park like this effortlessly

Who else going for their drivers test. Best of luck to ya'll! This the most likes and comments I ever got thanks!!
  • @dahgahz
This explains it so much better than my family has. Can't wait to get good at it for my test, do it once and then never again lmao
  • Who else is grown af and never had to parallel park until now 🤣🤣🤣 the neighbors stare at me from their window and laugh 😂
  • That was so close. Most drive test instructors will have you redoing the test the next day. Lol

Following these instructions exactly cleared up my problem! I've had a mental block against parallel parking since having a bad experience with a driving instructor. I parallel parked fine with my first driving instructor who was super chill, but then my second class I had a different instructor who spent most of the 2 hours yelling at me and making me extremely nervous. He would have me do a slow lap around a parking lot...then make me attempt to parallel park, then berate me for not doing it correctly... and then have me do another slow lap with another attempt to parallel park and some more berating. Since then parallel parking has stressed me out so much that I have very rarely tried and very rarely been successful! This was so helpful!
  • Thanks yall! I passed my diving test a few months back and one thing that helped me the most out of many videos i watched on different subjects, was this.. Especially the part where yall said, "But we found, the closer the better." It was clear and it worked for me. Parrallel parking was one thing that was most comfortable with; wasn't worried about. Thanks for helping! good shit man

I'm not a very good driver, I tried to take your advice and my car is now up in a tree. Liking the video though keep it up

I just came back to say I've been using your method to parallel park 3 times after watching this video—I've been parked in 10 seconds top using this method, it's unreal! To people who might doubt the usefulness of the straight back part of the video (where he straightens the wheel while going in reverse position), that step is crucial because turning the wheel doesn't move the wheel close to the curb, if at all. If you simply turn the wheel then do the other adjustment without first straightening, the wheel close to the curb will stay where it is. Straightening the wheel is how you get that week to actually move close to the curb. It's a no-brainer when you think of it, but when parking, you might not immediately see the usefulness of that step, and likely end up wondering why your parallel keeps being so wide from the curb
  • I learned to parallel park for the driving test in 1995. Never actually parked that way after that. Relearned to teach my sons for their tests. This vid is as simple as it gets.
  • @ViralKiller
Simplest way; overhead view, 45 degrees into pavement back corner, rotate
  • So I’ve had my license for three years now and always avoided parallel parking if possible. Now that I moved to a new place I’ll eventually have to do it, or I’d have to walk for two minutes, wich i am to lazy to do. This video helped me very much, because it gave me orientation points. Thanks a lot for the video!
