Patrick Duffy steps Behind The Rope. Yes, Bobby Ewing in the flesh! Patrick is here to chat about the full anthology of her career and what it was like to be part of one of the most Iconic shows of all time, Dallas. Patrick reminisces about being cast, the early days on set with co-stars such as Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Charlene Tilton and Victoria Principal - to name a few, the highs and lows of Bobby Ewing, best and worst storylines for the character and how life changed as a result of Dallas. Patrick opens up about his decision to leave the show after eight seasons, eturning after only one season off, the decision to bring Bobby back to life a la the “dream season”, the viral reaction from fans, life after Dallas and the positives and negatives of playing one character for so long. Patrick also opens up about his life long friendships with Larry Hagman and Linda Gray, the TNT “Dallas Reboot” that ended way too soon a few years ago, the future of the Dallas legacy and whether another Reboot is looming on the horizon. Of course, there was also that other mega hit Patrick was a part of, Step By Step. We talk the transition from Bobby Ewing to comedy, working with Icon Suzanne Somers, other parts he would love to play and finding love again with actress Linda Pearl. Thank you Patrick. What a fun trip down memory lane regarding one of the best and most iconic TV shows to ever exist!

  • I absolutely loved Dallas when I was younger. I always loved Bobby/Patrick. I used to watch it faithfully until I got to college and kept up with the Ewings through my Mom never missed an episode. I started watching in early September and we are now on Season 12. The reboot was awesome and I agree it had the potential to go several more seasons. Maybe fans can hope for one more movie to wrap up the Ewing story.

I would only watch if VP came back. I would love to see Pam and Bobby reunite.
  • Victoria should, at least do something before it's too late. She was an integral part of DALLAS and without her character in the show I don't think she is as successful as she is today, really do believe this! Semper.Fidelis

"we were in a constant state of competition, we were very territorial in front of the camera and it was a strain" _ Pat Duffy about VP

This video was uploaded four months ago. Please tell me this was recorded BEFORE Suzanne Somers died, otherwise that last question (where the video ended) comes across as very awkward.

Unless Morgan Brittany and Victoria principal were involved on the next one I’d not watch. I doubt ms. Principal will ever do another version of the show based on what she’s said since her late 80s departure. Morgan Brittany had said she’d have done the reboot had she been asked so I’m guessing she’d do yet maybe another one? Hope it happens but not as a continuation of the tnt nightmare with the Mexican drug cartel theme . Boring

"I'm glad because I don't think it would worked with Pam now. Bobby's character has developed so Much. He and Ann are the new Jock and Miss Ellie". _ Pat Duffy
  • This is total bull. Cynthia was horrible and ran the series into the ground. The ratings had dropped. They overplayed playing to the past, they had people poking holes in women's diaphragms, they clamed a guy bought land with oil only to come back and find JR "switched" the deed, (like how exactly does that happen) and a number of dumb angles that simply didn't work. As a huge fan of the original series, I found this embarrassing past the first season. Also, they disregarded both TV movies. Cynthia Cidre should never be allowed near Dallas again.

Hope we get a reunion movie but it better be soon as the original cast doesn't have time on their side like they used to. We already lost Ken kercheval a few years ago
  • @BishopWalters12
I love Dallas but it just doesn't work without Larry as JR. It would've been really cool to see a Step by Step reunion movie at one point but I know most of the kids from that show have quit acting and sadly Suzanne is no longer with us.

I wonder what Patrick thinks of Yellowstone, assuming he watches it?? The reason being I've heard so many people compare the two...Dallas and Yellowstone.
