NZ Wild Birds - Tui’s, Blackbirds, Silver Eyes, Sparrows - 9.6.24

Wild birds having a late brunch & as it’s raining, kinda, the bowls for the Tuis need to go under the neighbors steps, which I know they don’t like, but rainwater into Tui nectar dilutes & ruins it, the Tuis are the big ones, blackies & sparrows everyone knows & the Silvies, Silver Eyes if named properly, are the teeny little green & yellow, they’re like the size of your thumb & move so quickly, they look sweet, but can be as vicious as any larger one.

The blackie that comes right up close, photo bombs nearly every day, he seems to have no fear of me, to an extent & I’ve known him, & most of the others, from when they were fledglings, some as still being in the nest, which is why they let me so close, soon as anyone else comes by, even a car, they go ‘poof’!
