END OF BEGINNING LYRICS:
Just one more tear to cry
One teardrop from my eye
You better save it for
The middle of the night
When things aren’t black and white
Enter, Troubadour:
“Remember 24?”

And when I’m back in Chicago, I feel it
Another version of me, I was in it
I wave goodbye to the end of beginning

This song has started now
And you're just finding out
Now isn’t that a laugh?
A major sacrifice but clueless at the time
Enter, Caroline:
“Just trust me you’ll be fine”

And when I’m back in Chicago I feel it
Another version of me, I was in it
I wave goodbye to the end of beginning
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye

You take the man out of the city, not the city out the man
You take the man out of the city, not the city out the man
You take the man out of the city, not the city out the man
You take the man out of the

And when I’m back in Chicago, I feel it
Another version of me, I was in it
I wave goodbye to the end of beginning
Goodbye
Goodbye

one of the few people that manage to capture that 80's-90's essence, a rarity in the majority of the indie music producers, really good
  • @abs0lutelyn0t.
this song feels like moving out of your childhood home.
  • @Cricket_The_Cat
This song gives me the most unexplainable feeling joy that feels like A song you would hear on your deathbed, remembering everything beautiful in your life. Or the main character of a movie sitting with everyone they love on a hill or driving away into the sunset before the credits arrive.😢❤
  • Was playing this track in my home watching my 10month old daughter crawling on floor playing with her toys and I broke down crying outta now where. Music is a powerful vessel.

This song feels like being alone at a school dance in the best way.
  • As someone from Chicago who’s finally coming home in a few days from the army; this song tugs on my heart in a way I can’t describe.
  • I am in love with every part of this song. The music, the words, his voice, the vibe, the essence. LOVE IT!

Enouement : the bitter-sweetness of having arrived in the future, seeing how things turn out, but not being able to tell your past self. This song is that feeling

This is one of the best songs I've heard this year! I don’t know how to describe it, it’s like nostalgia for very good days.

I have never been to Chicago, and somehow I feel nostalgic about this. In different cities ages ago, with people I never thought I would lose contact, having feelings hard to explain back then and hard to explain even now too. Man, what a song
  • @vem_xoxo
Not one song that I dislike from this album. Joe is such an amazing musician and I hope we can get a tour someday!!

This song takes me back to my childhood. I think about how much more simple and fair my outlook to the world was, never worrying about bad things or the next events of my life and simply enjoying friends and family. I feel and think so different now that I'm an adult. Another version of me, I was in it.

For me, 'Chicago' is all those memories that l may not be able to live again but l have cherished, enjoyed them at the right moment and have kept safe deep inside my broken soul which is slowly trying to achieve peace and strength, by replaying all those old memories which had deep emotions attached to it❤ Joe is a fantastic singer, damn his vocals ate fr❤
