Thank You from Canada for teaching me this! Although we don't have much bamboo here, certainly I could improvise using other materials! I imagine this will work for fish too if the noose catches them between the gills and pectoral fins!

Looking at the mousetrap you made, I can't help but be shocked because it is exactly the same as the trap that my forefathers made hundreds of years ago. I used to use this trap to catch salamanders in the sand dunes in my hometown. Unfortunately, the salamanders here have become extinct due to overfishing.
