Something About You is probably the least popular(or least played) song on the Lp, but my favorite.
  • Objectively speaking...Boston was one of the most talented and sadly underrated bands in rock/metal history...Brads vocals Tom and Barry's guitar duets are legendary...Regardless of what you think about Tom Scholz, he was a musical and studio production genius. He was an MIT grad and a polaroid engineer, bear in mind his studio was hand built from scratch!! HIs guitar tone is still unmatched to this day! I was smitten with Tom's guitar tone since junior high! I even purchased a 2014 Gibson les paul gold top just so i can at least approximate Tom's rich tone! (My marshall 50 watt combo amp sorta comes close though! ) The late 70's and early mid 80's was the golden age of hard rock and metal..these millennials truly missed out on some great music!! RIP Brad and Sib!

Brad’s vocals win for best instrument here, all natural too.

The vocals are one of the great things about Boston!

Such an outstanding album that it’s hard to pick a favorite song. This has to be considered though. Has a great tempo & great vocals on this one too. I’d say great guitar too but that’s all the songs on this album.

Let's get some of this more accurate. Shultz had to re-record much of the Hammond Organ, Guitar, Bass and Drum parts for Epic - get it to sound essentially like the original demos the band was sold on, and this was done in his basement studio in Watertown MA on School Street because he was used to working alone. That spring, John Boylan (a friend of a California independent promotor) returned to Watertown to hear the tracks, on which Scholz had recut drums and other percussion and keyboard parts. He then hired a remote truck from Providence, Rhode Island to come to Watertown, where it ran a snake through the basement window of Scholz's home to transfer his tracks to a 3M-79 2-inch 24-track deck. The entire recording was completed in the basement, save for Delp's vocals, which were recorded at Capitol Studios' Studio C with Warren Dewey engineering the overdubs. "Let Me Take You Home Tonight" was also recorded in California - not in Watertown. Shultz did not have the developed studio capabilities to properly record acoustic guitar or vocals. Plus, he had a tendancy to overpush the electric guitars in the mix thus limiting the ability to hear the vocals in the final result. You can go here and listen to the original demos the band was sold on - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koaL_kd_ObY.

As a 21 year old, i can proudly say i love this music and this band I can roll with you old geezers haha
  • Love this band they say music is good for the soul I just lost my Mom today and had to listen to some good music I love you Mom good bye
  • The pinnacle of all classic rock songs. This whole LP.....yes kids LP..stands for Long Play Record...this LP was it in 76...still is. Never ever will a band put out anything remotely like this...that you can play from beginning to end without skipping any track and just enjoy...feel..never ever again 😢
  • Hate on Schultz all you want. His homemade recording equipment was the envy of the industry. Seven years to make 3 albums and the sound just right. All done on recordings by Shultz himself. Brad's vocals added later. He made rock great.
