Great job Mojax - it took me a lot of (stressful pre-gig) trial and error to realise the USB AND the Ethernet needed to be ejected before you can change the player number! One thing I didn't realise was the Link feature, thanks for explaining that! You forget to mention that Fader Start also works wiht Pro DJ Link, very handy!

This video couldn't have come at a better time. I just ordered another pair of 2000 nexus's & they will be here any day now. These tips & tricks are always so very helpful. Thank you so much Mo.. I really appreciate all you do.

@2:44 you talk about the fader and cross fader turning off the on air indicator. What everyone else should know is that the on air can also be shut of in anyway that completely cuts the music. If you have isolator on rather than EQ turned on and turn off all 3 EQ knobs your deck will also show your deck is off air even with the faders up. Gain and master volume work the same also.

Great info (as always)

When you have the mixer and CDJs linked together it's possible to use the fader start function as well. On old CDJs you needed the 3,5 jack cables to do it.

This applies for the NXS2 I am guessing as well. Thanks for the video!! I been searching for a week for a video like this. Got the 900 nxs2 last week and getting the CDJ NXS2 in 2 weeks. I was trying to figure out how to link everything together and this is it. Thank you

Great video and advice. With every video I'm having look behind you to see if I can spot anything new.

Along time ago, when it was cdj2000 x2 and djm2000, all we had to do was plug the link (Ethernet) cable from the 2x cdjs into the djm then plug the djm to the computer via usb and voila! You got sound going directly to each channel of the mixer and song can be sourced from computer to either cdjs or from a usb stick on either cdjs going to either cdj, but no rca able was needed when linked like this. I’m curious why I see people who have their mixer/cdjs linked all together still plug up rca cables??

Whoa....cant believe I missed such a good channel....subbed really really useful info....good job...

Massive thank you! Found this video, Really helpful! Nice Clear, easy to follow steps..

Would have been nice to see the waveforms of what is playing on the decks in Rekordbox as well, especially on CDJ900s
-
Super awesome informative video! Do you also need a usb connection to the mixer in addition to the Ethernet link? I found the answer down in the comments!

How do you link the Pioneer cdj 3000's to the Pioneer V 10 mixer

What’s the difference between plugging everything together with Ethernet cable and USB?
