I started watching your videos around 7 years ago when Sandy was still a toddler in diapers. I was a student trying to build a stable situation to grow a family. These days I barely have the time to sit down and watch youtube. I'm a middle school teacher and a mom, and my life is very different from what I had imagined. It gives me very bitter-sweet feelings to see your children all grown, it's a reminder of how fast time goes. Whenever I have the time, I always come back to your channel.

I think it would be beneficial for kids to learn about the whole world and its history, not just America. Many things are done better in some other countries and learning about that could probably be helpful.

It was because of you and Hannah I started my plant based journey and the reason my body healed and I have my beautiful miracle baby...thank you for sharing your journey and your beautiful family life ❤

Two months ago, I gave birth to my first baby, and it was the best day of my life. 🙏 Watching your content over the years, I always thought, 'Man, how does she manage it all so gracefully?' Now, as a new mum myself, my respect and admiration for you have grown even more! Kids take up so much time, but it's the most beautiful time. I now understand why you have so many children – the love you feel is truly beyond this world! Sending you hugs from the Canary Islands. 🌴

Is it really an Ellen Fisher garden vlog if Sandy doesn't find a friendly bug? Lol! That worm was cute.

If someone would have asked me few years ago what would I'd like to be when I grew up I would have said YOU, I mean you are the reason why I gave birth at home, I became a vegan, I moved to Tahiti, your videos have shown me another way I had no chance to discover without the internet and YouTube. I am forever grateful that a woman from the other part of the world inspired me to choose my own path, my own way of living, without taking care of what people think. Without knowing it, you changed my life. You helped me going for newness and trust my gut that what you were showing was so full of light and common sense. One day I will fly to Hawaï thinking about the fact that you are there, and that from this place on earth you drove me where I am now. Un grand merci from a French new mam, happy 10 years vegan, naturopath, yoga teacher and so much more.
  • The Chronicles of Narnia. It's perfect and i loved reading it when i was a kid

Would love to see a video on what you and your kids eat in a day. Making meals from scratch takes so much time. How do you prepare all the meals for your family, garden, clean and still have time for yourself?
  • @DearPlanetBe
It’s insane how you manage to get such beautiful footage without really showing the faces of your older kids! Well done.. I do miss their faces and personalities a lot, but I totally understand why you do it :) thanks for sharing again a beautiful inspiring video

BOOK SUGGESTION: The Giver is one that I read around that age as well as my children. There's also a movie to watch afterwards! Such a fun time with them growing and becoming their own selves. Everyone always says you'll miss the babies, but I'm really enjoying my kids even more as they get older ❤

Every time I notice how straight is your back Ellen. With all everyday chores you really manage to take care of yourself and it's visible. You are an example for other mothers.

can you share more about how you manage homeschooling so many different levels of education, especially when it comes to maths and science topics?
  • @destrybabyy
Your garden is stunning! It helps scratch my green itch because here in the midwest we are in negative temps and snow on the ground! Love these types of videos from you. You and your family are such an inspiration.
  • @lottevanhecke
For some homeschool books: i recommend to read ‘the little prince’. Also if they will learn French, you can read it in French later. For chemistry: “our world in pictures: the periodic table book” from DK. Really nice and amazing even for later homeschool highschool! Love from a homeschooled teenager from Belgium ❤

The 90’s version of Little Women is the best! Never fails to make me cry. Island of the Blue Dolphins is one of my favorite read alouds from my childhood.
  • @ericarachel8964
How often does family visit? Can you talk at all about the good/bad of being so far from family? How do you feel like it impacts your kids relationships with their cousins/grandparents, etc.?
  • @janjentz1053
I am always so happy to see Moms and Dads read out loud to their children. My mother in law was a teacher; and always stressed the importance of it. Also when the older children can read really well; its good to encourage them to pick a book and read the their younger siblings. Reading out loud is a great skill to practice. A couple of my favorites that i read to my children, was The Secret Garden, The Little House series, The Incredible Journey, Anne of Green Gables. Happy reading!!!!

I grew up on the island of Puerto Rico and coqui’s would sing all night!! I just heard them in the background in this video— the nostalgia 🥰
