Who still listens to this in 2023🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️

Ya'll know what's really sad? If this was done today, there wouldn't be many male vocalists with this level of raw talent to fill that same room.
-
RIP to Gerald Levert, Kenny from Intro, Dino from H-Town, and Melvin from After 7 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
-
D’Angelo is a hell of a writer can’t believe he wrote this power house
-
The amount of vocal talent in that one room is mind boggling
-
Who’s still listening and saluting our black men in 2020?🙋🏾♀️

This song made me cry so much...To all the black brothers who are honest, good, God fearing, who stand for their families, wives, Children, who put in honest time for honest bread...God bless and keep you all. Be good to one another, share love because BLACK LIVES MATTER.

The harmonies on this are everything! Real musicians and singers. No auto tune. Just pure talent.
-
This song is so underrated. This is pure art
-
This song TRULY needs to be the ‘’Black Man’s Anthem’’, all around the world✊🏾

29 years later and it still tugs at my heart today. I’m so glad these brothers came together for this historic project. Sadly I don’t think we’ll ever get something like this again.

I was watching the movie Jason's Lyric with my wife, and when the end credits started rolling, this song came on, and i got hit with a flood of emotions. Couldn't stop crying for a sec. All of a sudden in my head I was 14 again like when this soundtrack originally came out. Asking my wife in tears where the time has gone. Great song, great memories.

White man here; playing this song on repeat!
