NEW TO ME?
Hi I'm Rich Roll. I'm a vegan ultra-endurance athlete, author, podcaster, public speaker & wellness evangelist at large. But mainly I'm a dad of four. If you want to know more, the NY Times wrote some nice things.

Been watching, listening, and paying attention to all of predictions and forecasts since early Covid. He hasn't disappointed yet 👌

I too prefer longer interviews. I now rarely ever watch movies or TV shows and mostly just watch video podcasts. The wealth of invaluable information is just more captivating than many other forms of media.

Tom is incredibly self aware. This is the first time I really understand his thinking even after hundreds of episodes on Impact Theory. It's truly amazing how you can deconstruct yourself to unleash your potential.
  • Stop valuing myself for being good at something and start valuing myself for being willing to learn I love that I’m going to teach my nephews this they are 4 and 6

A man that puts his marriage right at the top over his own ambitions - many men don't know it, but paradoxically that mindset is what lets wives feel safe and loved enough to let their men go all the way out on their ambitions. Edit I feel I need to put a caveat to this - note what I said - that the end result is that the women feel safe enough to LET THEIR MEN GO ALL THE WAY OUT ON THEIR AMBITIONS; that the men ACTUALLY GET TO DO THEIR THING IN THE END. This does not work for relationships where no matter what you do, the partner does not let go. It's especially true for crazy, selfish, insecure girlfriends who want you to give in all the time to them and when you do that, they lose respect for you. You need to know your worth (have enough self-respect) and the value of the relationship (to you to give up whatever you're giving up) and whether this girl's insecurity is a bottomless pit. If it's bottomless, no amount of you giving up yourself will fill that hole. If that happens, go do your thing but keep in touch and be warm and welcoming. If she's any good, she will decide if she wants to keep up with you and deal with her inner issues in order to stay with you. If there is ALWAYS drama with WHATEVER you do, that's a sure sign to give up. Drama 24/7 is BAD news but then again, you have to be patient to ride out the storm too until she makes her decision. And a little competition for who receives your attention and decency will help the girl make her decision abit faster. ;) Be smart and know that YOU HAVE TO BE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE. There is no negotiation on this point.

The enlightened person has the same obstacles and life stresses as the unenlightened person, the only difference is their perspective and how they respond (rather than react) to it
  • In the last couple decades, this, in my opinion, is the single most empowering, and insightful, two-and-a-half hours I have ever had the pleasure to sit through, and I've listened to a lot of motivation, interviews, TED Talks, and podcasts over the last couple decades. Thank you for such recording, and sharing, this conversation. I am so moved, and inspired... at the end, the question was, "To all those people, sitting in their cubicles, wanting to know how to start moving forward, what do you tell them?" My "cubicle", over the last few years has a steering wheel attached to my desk, instead of a computer. I've been struggling my whole life with finding myself, financial difficulties, family development... I'm 42 years old, and I feel like I have nothing to show for my life, up to this point. Things are finally on the up-and-up, and I can finally see a pinhole of a light, in the distance. This interview is just the thing I needed, at just this perfect moment in time. Thank you.

This 2.5 hour interview is like 10 self improvement books. That's efficiency. The time we live in is unreal haha. Mental health will soon have positive growth at a very fast rate.

I’ve been following Tom for two years now. This was a great summary of his life and gave me better understanding on where he is coming from. this was EXTREMELY interesting to me. Thank you!
  • Dang so many great pieces of advice in this interview. I am surprised at how talkative Tom is because when he interviews people on his show his guests do most of the speaking. Shows what a great listener he is. 👍
  • I have to say that Rich Roll is a very intelligent and well spoken individual. 🙏I’m always amazed at his capacity to guide high level and demanding interviews🙏🙏
  • The world is yearning for the lost art of conversation and for the genuine people. It's such a welcome break from all the plattitudes, poses and soundbites everywhere in this day and age.
  • Got here accidentally and this is the most meaningful and enlightening podcast I've seen.
  • @Nathen
Tom is my actual hero. He went from being awkward on camera to being so heart-wrenchingly powerful. When I saw him live, I cried. He got me. I'm not sure I've experienced a human who's been able to so effective at touching people's hearts in such a raw, aggressive way. I love you brother, please be truly proud of yourself.

@1:15:44 "When somebody tells me I'm wrong, I have this rush of like 'Oh my god this is amazing, cuz if theyre right and really am wrong and they're making me aware of this, I'm gonna get more powerful" YESSSSSS!!!!! This is so refreshing to see someone else think!!!

Tom Bilyeu is great. For whatever reason I didn't take to his show straight away but now I love it. Looking forward to listening to this 😁
