My neighbor is 90 and much sharper than most 20 yrs old. After changing jobs at age 56 my memory and attention is much better than it was in my 40s The brain can change and rejuvenate in any age due to stimulus like brain exercise, environment, sleep habits, nutrition and nutrients.

An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.
  • Excellent presentation!! Loved your light hearted delivery. I am a 67 year old black female retired science teacher with one parent age 87 who developed dementia at about 70 years old and 4 of her 9 siblings have/ had it as well ( along with Diabetes)at some point starting in their 70s. My diet for 4 years has been 90 percent free of added sugar and processed food. Within my acceptable body mass index. Just tweeked my already heart healthy diet this year to the MIND DIET to be proactive about my brain health. I walk/ run for at least 40 to 50 minutes several times a week and do weights as well. It IS a journey. There is no guarantee, but no excuse not to help yourself be healthier before the last minute. Thanks for your information.

I'm 32 years old. I feel my brain is highly more active and in my 30s than it was in my previous decades. I can only give credit to the foods I eat such as Salmon, Walnuts, Avocados, and Pomegranate plus the regular workouts. I'll reply back to this comment decades later to let everyone know how it's going lol.
  • I’m not sure about anyone else, but I notice almost immediately after eating healthy high fat foods like salmon and walnuts, my brain feels less foggy, I feel more clear and my anxiety and general irritability goes down drastically. Diet is (almost) everything!

Lost my sweet dad to Dementia last year. One of his factors was likely having been on statins for more than twenty years. Dementia is the most heartbreaking decline I have ever seen. I’ll do anything to avoid putting my loved ones through that.

I learned how to rise a garden as a garden as a child from my parents. Both were from large families and were raised during t he depression when jobs and money were hard to come by and they raised huge gardens,! My mother had to stay at home and help raise her siblings so she never finished high school. My dad finished the 11th grade and went into WW2! There wasn't enough food so the government issued food rationing and encouraged people to start victory gardens since a lot of food was sent to feed the troops. After the war my folks continued to waive gardens and my father always said that the food you bought was contaminated with chemicals and that was the reason for another of the diseases people were getting! He never bought pesticides, herbicides or fertilizer and always composted and used that for the garden! I use the same method of gardening and we can in the fall to preserve food. My Father died at 93 and Mom died at 96 and was near 97! They were pretty savy on health issues!
  • Thx much very well said. Appreciated. Additional health knowledge. Go basics: 7-8 hrs sleep, water, walk morning sun, deep breathing, vegs/ fruits, omega 3.

  • When i was growing up i used to always have headaches.Sitting in a pitch black silent room was the only way out. Then i got into fitness and discovered what blood sugar controls and how it can effect our day to day life. This video got me started with everything i needed and i cant remember my last headache

I'm thanking youtube for recommending me this kind if video as early as possible, i am 23 years old and a non-vegetarian so this really opened up my mind

What a fascinating video, I'm so glad I found it. I'm 54, overweight, diabetic and my mother has advanced dementia. I have felt like its only a matter of time before I too get dementia but this gave me new hope. This diet is doable, and I'm going to go grocery shopping tomorrow and get into it. Thank you.
  • @JustJenLive
This is one of the best lectures on nutrition I've ever heard. It cuts through the hype and delivers a common sense inspired guide to health and longevity.

I'm on this diet and let me tell you something. My clothes fell so much looser and so much better. I would recommend this diet to all my clients!

I’m 25 but I forget things easily. I always walk into a room, stand there for a few seconds, and walk out because I completely forget what I was going to do.
  • @ramban321
I cured COLON and Prostate CANCER on myself and now feel amazing, I run 2 miles per day and am not very young. God is great!

We really need to focus on our Natural Biome. Our overall wellbeing is tied to our gut health. Thank you for shining light on the importance of brain health.💗

I am old and I grew up eating real food. What a difference in all foods today. I stopped milk when I no longer could make yogurt. Our foods today have so many additives including Excitotoxins, which are harmful but very addictive, especially for children.
  • I’m telling you, I can not sit and watch someone talk for longer than 20 minutes unless they’re HIGHLY interesting and great with delivery. You are amazing. This is informative yet fun. Thank you for this video! Thank GOD FOR NATURAL FOODS that HE CREATED HAAHAAAAAHA
