I'll go with werewolf still. It's pretty easy to track the full moon cycle with apps and stuff and as long as you don't look at the moon you'll be good. Plus I won't be able to enjoy pasta or garlic bread as a vampire. And the only downside of being a werewolf really is just silver but you can just play it off as if you're allergic to it.

Issue with the werewolf vs Vampire question is there are so many variables and variants for vampires and werewolves the choice becomes very difficult. For example, there are werewolves that have super regeneration that allows them to live forever unless killed by the normal ways you would kill a werewolf. I.E. they aren't dying from sickness or old age, which is a huge plus. And there are werewolves that can control themselves when changed. Then you have certain vampires that have all those nasty weaknesses of garlic, mirrors, sunlight, salt (In some lore), etc. Then you have vampires that don't have any of those weaknesses. So many different versions of vampires and werewolves with different limitations and heights of their abilities.. hard pick, but if you took the best aspects of each, while maintaining the barest limitations of their weaknesses.. I'd prolly go werewolf
