As you take a journey back in time to visit your favorite team’s home stadiums, please keep in mind that we did not include international games as part of this video. Also, our maps and stadium “chips” are meant to help guide the story. The “chips” are markers and are not always meant to be exact replicas of actual stadiums; the maps are meant to be a “generic” representation of where the stadiums are located. And do us a favor, please load up the comments section with your favorite memories and stories of all the stadiums you’ve been to. Give everyone your top 5 favorite stadiums while you’re at it! And most importantly, enjoy getting to learn about the rich history of all the places NFL teams have played over the years!

The NFL Throwback is your home for all things NFL history.

I can't believe the Lions were at one point bought for $8000. I bet they're worth over $15,000 now

“The Jets got tired of taking a back seat to the Mets” so naturally, they moved to Giants Stadium and took a backseat the the Giants

They forgot to include that the Buffalo Bills played one regular season game at the Rogers Centre in Toronto once a year from 2008 to 2013. They won just one game there.

A mini movie on nfl stadiums, today just got better

Wow, so Prater's kick was in Denver? That just makes Justin Tucker's 66-yarder at Detroit much more amazing

I still remember the final regular season game when the Giants played the Patriots in 2007. It was a back and forth game that the Patriots eventually won. A Patriots fan actually looked at me and said "See you guys in the Super Bowl" as we were leaving the stadium. Lo and behold, the Giants and Patriots met again in Super Bowl 42, which the Giants won.

This is by far one of the greatest architectural historical sports documentaries of all time. How are you guys not winning award for your work. It’s amazing!!!! I wish I could take a history class on this

This was awesome! I wish that the NBA, NHL, and MLB would do videos like this.

“I’m not watching an hour and a half video” An hour and 30 minutes later “Damn, I just watched and hour and a half video”
  • @kz1000ps
Clearly there is some written rule somewhere that the only person allowed to inaugurate a new stadium on TV is Al Michaels
  • @Jackthehammer123
As a European, I’m stunned over how often you build new stadiums, tear them down a few years later and build another one😄 We do not get new stadiums that often over here😒 Great video though👌🏼

"The Bucs haven't made a Super Bowl there yet (Raymond James Stadium), but they have hosted 2"..... Welcome to January 29th 2021, the Bucs are the FIRST NFL Team to play a HOME game for the Super Bowl.
  • I wish you would've covered the engineering marvel of the old Mile High Stadium's neat hydroplaning seats. Those things allowed the stadium to be "opened up" to accommodate the baseball field. It was engineered in 1977 and worked by floating the east stands on a sheet of water. That system also never failed over the 22 years it was in service. Another thing about Mile High that was failed to be mentioned is the tradition of the Mile High "Thunder", which was possible because of the metal construction of the stands, allowing for the raucous sounds and shaky camera that is noticeable even now in their new location because it was designed to mimic the sound of the old stadium. Not to mention how the undulations of the stadium design for the new field were made to mimic the Rockies themselves. So many cool facts that were missed about my hometown stadiums.
