Sue Ellen was the woman caught between two worlds in beginning. She was still part of the era where women didn't work, they did good things for and to improve their local community. Then life changed, the 80s came upon and she saw Pam 10 years younger or so working everyday. She had to find her confidence in new life and working. Valetine had the tantrum first and she had to be tough back with him....but today they would call her confrontational. 80s were fun!

what a brilliant scene ... sue ellen is firing on all cylinders and J.R just loves it and respects it - he also helps her which I love, these scenes showed their true love for each other And as for the scene where she shows him that Mandy is on the talk show panel and has left Dallas - he says 'that was brilliant sue ellen' and she says 'i had a good teacher' - its just absolutely brilliant, after all their trials and tribulations, they've learned so much from each other and have never stopped loving each other - what a scene that was!! P.S- what episode is the 'that was brilliant sue ellen' scene in?
