Thanks! Some great tips in there, a couple I didn't know or wasn't quite sure about. Another great one you could mention in future is that you can assign your seat position memory setting to your key fob. Just adjust the seat, press the "Set" button on the seat, but instead of pressing 1 or 2, you hold the unlock button on your key fob until you hear a beep. So next time you unlock your car with that key fob, and the seat has been moved by someone, it'll adjust to your position memory within 40 second of unlocking the car.

Thanks, Charlie. I've had my Mazda CX 5 for almost a year now with a little over 500 miles on it and I still have not figured out everything. This video surely helps. This senior citizen thanks you.

This is all from my 2019 CX-5 GT. Additionally with the key fob. If the fob battery is dead, place the end of the fob on the start button and it'll light up, letting you start the car. The 4 bars on the radar cruise control display are not car lengths. The distance they represent varies with your speed. When setting a new destination in the GPS that's over 25 miles away, do it manually and start by entering the zip code. It immediately tells NAV what state & area you'll be in and adjusts the expected street names. Whenever you get service done, ask the Mazda shop to also check the infotainment firmware for a new version. The panel light brightness knob has an additional function. If you push it, you change from imperial (miles) to metric (kilometers). If you can afford it, get the trim level with the heads up display. You'll love it. Speed, GPS directions, blind spot monitor and speed limit all right in front of you. If you have the heads up display, get NON-polarized sunglasses. If you use polarized sunglasses the display all but disappears. The vertical position of the heads up display can be adjusted in the settings. The lane keeping function cannot be fully turned off. The lowest level you can go it to get haptic feedback in the steering wheel and the lane flashing. At least that's better than fighting the car just to change lanes. The traffic monitoring on the map is currently $7/mo by itself from Sirius xm. Not worth it, IMO. One question I have. When the radar cruise slows the car, do the brake lights go on?

Just went through comment section, and I'm amazed how many folks don't even go through all the settings and options of their car, even after several months of ownership. Maybe it's me, maybe I'm weird, but I just love scanning all details and setting up my car for my preference.

Not only do you hold GME, but you also work at a Mazda dealership. A man of culture.

Great tips! Bought a Carbon Edition Turbo AWD a few days ago and my smile gets bigger everytime I take it out

One more thing about radar cruise control! Once your CX5 has come to a complete stop, tapping on the gas once will “reactivate” radar cruise control and accelerate from stop, back to where you’re set (or to the traffic flow).
  • @BrunoandAnthony
Very helpful. Just bought a 2021 Carbon Edition CX 5 and you saved me a lot of time sifting through the manual.

The tip on the tialgate height was a game changer for me. I have been standing in my garage judging when to hit the button so it doesn't hit my door opener. NO MORE!😃
  • @ttscruz

THANK YOU!! My lord, I'm still learning how to drive this "space ship" 2 years after purchase 🤣🤣

The Bose Centerpoint is set to off for a reason. It’s ok for mixes done in quadraphonic…I play around with it sometimes but it changes the mix that was intended for the listeners. When you turn it on the stereo will be louder which tricks you into thinking it sounds better. If u want the music to sound the way it was intended I would keep it off. If I watch a movie in your car and want surround sound then turn it on.

"and now you get the sound system you paid for" best tip on here! Thanks haha
