What I am hearing from Ubisoft isn't an apology, it's basically trying to explain to the Japanese people why they are wrong to be offended. About a game. Set in Japan. That screws with their heritage. And gets loads of things wrong. They are saying "no sorry offended Japanese people, you don't get to be offended because we did our research." Just wow!

I'm on a Reddit that has been discussing this whole thing. What's funny is the people defending this game are dismissing this who game as a work of fiction. What's worse is that I have explained to them the whole gravity of the situation and they still are acting dismissive of the whole situation.
