I actually didn't know they made Magikarp's shiny metallic in this game. I really like all the new PBR effects and how they can change the aesthetic of a pokemon so drastically.

32:02 I just noticed the disguised shiny zorua actually flashes the color of the shiny pokemon it's disguised as after you fight it, that's such a cool touch! Also it's really nice that they made it so that you can't knock out a shiny in the quick battles.

Pretty fitting after you talked about unite, you got the first shiny of this journey, and it is one of the starter options in the game.

I hunted varoom and I concur that it makes you constantly think "wait, is that one gold..?" while refreshing the spawns, when a shiny did appear it was super obvious. There were a couple of hunts I did like that but I can't think of another example right now haha. Side note I also failed multiple donzodo and gyarados to them spawning in the background and immediately vanishing. Not sure if because swimming or giant models...
