This was an incredible date palm tree adventure! Erica in Phoenix, Arizona (Arcadia) took me up over 50 feet high in her lift to taste test the freshest and most delicious black sphinx dates EVER! Dates are my #1 choice for eating healthy sugars that come from fruit and satisfy my love of sweet, chewy, desserts! Yes, Jake looked excited to go even higher than 40 feet where the dates are to get the best view of the valley, lol. You couldn't get me up in that lift unless it was for a good cause like harvesting a small amount of meristem tissue for tissue culture. Then I might suck some air between my teeth and go. Pretty awesome trees for 98 years old!
