Just made these and they turned out great!!!! I've tried so many recipes and by far this is best. Just made a few changes which may help others: once I added the corn syrup, I heated on low for 30 sec(just like recipe shows in video), then I took it off the heat and added 1/4tsp citric acid as I did not use lemon juice. I then let the mixture rest for a min or 2 then added the gelatin until throughly melted in the mixture(otherwise the heat can ruin the gelatin). These came out perfect this way. I'm glad I found this recipe
  • You shouldn’t boil gelatin, it looses its setting qualities, and you want to bloom it first. I’m sure this is a good recipe, I’m going to use it but don’t boil the gelatin and it’ll be a much better end product and last longer and be less sticky. I’ll be using this recipe but letting the mixture cool then add bloomed gelatin and re-heat just to evenly mix but not boil, keep on lowwwwww heat once gelatin is mixed in. Then the mix is ready to use. Great video though exactly the measurements i needed, thank you!

I've tried tons of recipe, and none are near the store bought. I will try this, somehow I'm sort of ok w/trying corn syrup, but hoping I can sub some other sweetener for the sugar part. I can live on gummy bears

Hello, I recently produced two batches of gummy bears using this recipe and would appreciate some suggestions on how to improve. The second batch of gummy bears looks and tastes good, but when I leave them out to dry at room temperature, the shape doesn't hold together (between 22.5 and 25.5 deg C). I'm not sure which ingredient to add or omit to make the gummy bears harder. This is my first time trying out making food from home, so yeah.. I'm not sure how these ingredients go hand in hand.. Many thanks

Hiya, could you substitute the water for fruit juice to flavour them, rather than using artificial flavourings?
  • Thank you. Tasty gummies for healthy and smart kids who go to school or kindergarden.

Used this method twice now with outstanding results! And you can add CBD oil or tincture and it won't break or get gooey. I was highly skeptical when it came to boiling the gelatin but I tried it ,sure that it wasn't going to work. It did and this must be why they are so stretchy and similar to store bought gummy bears.
