I Played Every Shrek Game

I had a fabulous time playing all the Shrek™ licensed games that I could get my grubby little hands on, and now I am the knowledgable swamp knower, bigger and better than any so-called "gamer", for only I know the true depths of Shrek's gorgeous, endless world. Come with me, curious Shrek fans, as we wade in and never return.

Big thanks to ‪@ScrapTakes‬ for covering Shrek the Third (for XBOX 360). I have never touched an XBOX, and I don't intend to sully my hands now.

btw, check out my game reviews @ www.backloggd.com/u/mothcub/ 💚

Don't tell me you're a "gamer" unless you've played at least half the Shrek Game Universe
  • @cjthex
your best yet the sincerity sings
  • My girlfriend left me in part because I used to rely on the alarm clock function of Pocket Shrek and the alarm noise was a poor impersonator yelling "WOAH YEAH! RRRRRRRRRRR! WOAH YEAH! RRRRRRRRRRR!". It was extremely poorly programmed and it was a crapshoot whether and when it would go off, and sometimes the audio clip would abruptly cut off and start again. She didn't like waking up to it and couldn't stand the idea of being with someone who was amused by something like it. It is truly a terrible feeling to have known love and lost it, but on the other hand WOAH YEAH! RRRRRRRRRRR!

I love that Shrek as a scottish Ogre becomes cockney when speaking "British English" in your mind.

I think the reason why the ogre babies don't have names but the dronkeys do is, because the game was released before Dreamworks gave the ogre babies official names for the fourth movie and they named the dronkeys for the third movie. Ogre Jr is Fergus, ogre boy is Farkle, and ogre girl is Felicia. Still, it's odd and funny that they're named like that.

when i was a teen my young cousin (maybe about 6 at the time) told me "shrek can turn people into bags" in an almost solemn manner, and he was referring to one of the sky gamestar games where when you jump on people they drop a bag item

"the music on the baby selection screen is incredible" and at that moment my speakers cut out with no noise. It took me 30 seconds to realize this wasn't an extended bit about there being no music.
  • I'm hoping the Donkey spin-off movie will be about Donkey helping a carpenter and his pregnant wife get to a stable

Shrek Milking Simulator really seems like it has a lot of depth. Thanks!
  • Honestly surprised at how many of these games manage to reach a reasonable minimum quality level.

"Made me want to vomit. 3/5. Not that bad." You're really grading on a Shrek based curve here.

Fun Fact: Hassle at the Castle and Reekin Havoc were developed by TOSE, who also developed all the Game and Watch Gallery games, and Super Princess Peach on the DS. That explains their excellent sprite work!

I feel like this is a good time to let you know that there is a Shrek game for the V smile children’s gaming system that directly steals music from ocarina of time and has lines of dialogue that are entirely composed of sentence mixed lines from the original movies. It’s glorious.

Video game dungeon boss monsters are like onions: they have lairs.

Even if some of these games we used to play as children aren't the best in retrospect, I think many of us still have fond memories regardless. The Shrek the third game (pc version) was one of my first experiences with videogames, and I haven't forgotten the magic I felt while playing it. Seeing footage of it now just fills me with an innocent sense of nostalgia and I will forever remember it fondly. My girlfriend feels exactly this way about the Ratatouille game that ScrapTakes also mentions.

According to my dad I watched the first Shrek movie at least a hundred times when I was very little, to the point where I knew every single line I don't remember any of it..... I'm sorry dad
