  • I've always known and loved Candlemass, Bathory and of course Yngwie but now I need to explore the entire catalogue of heavy Load. Nice dude, thanks for this video and your hard work. 🤘
  • @cr01554nt
the fact you included the hard rock and traditional heavy metal roots is such a sleeper, silver mountain and heavy load rooled in their time and definitely are the beginning of a long metal tradition, sweden has been a thing way before the death and black revolution, and it's a very important piece to understand the logical progression of the region's heavy metal
  • @FlavioFearn
Amazing documentary. Being a brazilian that always loved the Swedish Metal, and now living in Sweden for about two years, I'm really glad this exist for me to know more and more about this amazing scene. And it is amazing how our scenes on the 70s and 80s are alike. I would love to see the continuation of this history up to 2021 :D Thanks!
  • @robgasper8521
Bathory is so overdue for the credit deserved. That dude came fully formed and was so far ahead of most Extreme Metal bands with his debut. This doc is a masterpiece of ruthless research and information, I’m stunned my friend, outstanding work!
  • @hodslate2582
One of the best retro metal documentaries I've seen. Such great music! So many bands!!
  • @rileynegative
Wow... well done dude! I learned a lot... Awesome... thank you for making this video. This had to be a ton of work, I appreciate it very much...
  • I saw Ingwie for the first time a month ago. He was so precise in playing and so energetic on stage, I was nicely suprised..Candlemass were so unique in the late '80's, the whole Doom Metal genre for me equals with those guys...Ancient Dreams...Mirror,Mirror...priceless stuff for the history of metal music in global!
  • Fantastiskt grävande, vad mycket guld det finns! Tack för en rolig dokumentär!
  • @Moja421
Loved that you didn´t forgot about Merciless, a real classic and Morgana Lefay a band that is criminally overlooked. Keep it going!
  • @rmcduarte
Hurrah!! for you Sweeds,, you were always on the frontline, and with really great bands, in every rock genres known to mankind!
  • @MrNobody-fk7fc
Beautiful piece of work! That was an exhaustive and great journey, and yet so much was untouched! Great job! I would personally like you to continue on into the 90s...perhaps you've already made a piece documenting it. I shall look. Thank you for doing this!
  • @nigelchad3617
Absolutely fantastic!!! .Sweden Has had a HUGE impact on my musical Tastes over the yrs here in Australia ..METAL IS LAW...LORE!!!!!
  • Great video man I had just finished the old version and saw that you posted this one and I had to watch it. It was a really good documentary and Id love to see more
  • @RaminMikkola
It would be cool to see the continuation of what happened in the Swedish hard rock/heavy metal scene beyond 1993! Great continuation to your original video by the way.
  • What a great documentary, there is so much to take in! Heavy Load is a very underrated band. 220 Volts first single Prisoner of war with Sauron on the B-side is their best release I think. Being from Umeå, I have to mention Meshuggah, wich I saw back in -89, when they released their awesome selftitled EP wich goes under the name Psykisk testbild. Would love to see another documentary covering later years with bands like Freak Kitchen, Opeth, the two Umeå based powermetalbands Nocturnal Rites and Persuader among others.
  • This actually came on my tv as I was sleeping and midway through the documentary I heard such great music I woke up to pause it so the next day I could discover some new bands and within ten minutes I already searched three songs from this documentary and added them to my Playlist. By the way I'm a heavy sleeper so that says alot 😆
  • @Catonius
Nu skal vi rocka! Awesome version, please continue. My favorite new channel on YT. Cheers dude!
  • @Antichrister71
Damn! Really good exposé of the swedish metal scene! Give us part two please!
  • @cygnusx10
Good vid - nicely extended to cover some of the harder bands and early 90's. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.
  • @PurplePunchini
I want you to continue this series all the way too today, it's very well put together and i really like hearing about the genre here in Sweden. I mean i was born in 93 so i hade no idea what came before. Keep it up, really good work!
