Mayim is proof that being a former child star does not mean you have to be a train wreck. She is a smart woman who has accomplished a lot in her life. I think it's great that the show decided to use her P.H.D in Neuroscience for her character. She is the only actor who can say they truly are a doctor like they play on TV.

Interesting to note that in Season 1 of BBT, Raj actually makes a reference to Mayim Bialik and not her character Amy. He says that the person who played TV's Blossom just got a PHD (Bialik), and the boys should get her on their physics bowl team

I hate that all people can talk about is her looks. Whether she's pretty or not shouldn't fucking matter. She's a great actor and brilliant human. If she was a guy, there would be no debate in the comment on physical attractiveness. Ugh, I dream of a world where my looks as a woman are the least important thing about me.

I love the way she handled the question on impulse control. She made a clear emphasis on statistics and did not attempt to encourage or feed into the common idea of praising girls over boys. She made no attempt to demean one gender over the other(usually the males getting kicked around) which is far too often the case in our media. Love her for that.

Women like Mayim are such an inspiration, they really should be elevated and appreciated way more than we do already. A true role model for so many young kids, currently stuck worshipping IG bots.

I think shes actually very pretty here. Maybe not when shes amy because its part of her character to be less attractive. I hope they give her a makeover because she is actually very pretty!
